Diamond Announces Full Line-Up for SDCC






Diamond’s Full Line-Up for San Diego Comic-Con
A PREVIEWS Panel, giveaways, exclusive first-looks, signings and more set to take place at Comic Con

(BALTIMORE, MD)- (July 8, 2014)- During Comic-Con International: San Diego (SDCC), Diamond Comic Distributors will be at the Diamond PREVIEWSworld booth #2401 presenting exclusive items and showcasing products and merchandise for attendees to get a better understanding of WHAT’S@COMICSHOPS for the Fall and Holiday season. Diamond will also be promoting Free Comic Book Day and Halloween ComicFest events with free giveaways, a signing with Hip-Hop legend and new comic book creator Darryl “DMC” McDaniel from Run DMC, and welcoming comic shop retailers to its “Retailer Zone” to talk shop with Diamond and its outside sales team.

For the duration of SDCC, Diamond’s PREVIEWSworld Booth #2401 will feature comics, graphic novels, collectibles, toys and new products from Dark Horse, DC Entertainment, IDW Publishing, Image Comics, and Marvel Comics, as well as new toy offerings from McFarland Toys, Medicom, Pop Culture Shock, Warpo Toys and more. Attendees are invited to explore the booth for a better look at WHATS@COMICSHOPS for the rest of 2014 and beyond. The booth will also showcase Diamond’s 22 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive items which interested fans can be directed to retailer booths on the exhibit hall floor that will have them available for purchase.


Attendees can stop by and receive free swag, register to win a Limited Edition 2014 Comic-Con Eastman/Laird Rockmaster® Glow-in-the-Dark TMNT Guitar, while learning more about Free Comic Book Day and the upcoming Halloween ComicFest 2014 in which cosplayers are invited to take photos promoting “The Greatest Halloween Costume Contest Ever” for Halloween ComicFest!

Hip-Hop legend and comic book creator Darryl “DMC” McDaniel is scheduled to appear at the Diamond PREVIEWSworld Booth on Thursday the 24th and Friday the 25th, from 4pm-6pm PST. Plus, The Benchwarmer Trading Card Models Raquel Pomplun, Pamela Horton and Malorie Mackey are also scheduled for signings and photos at the booth on Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th from 10am-12pm PST. In addition to celebrities at the booth, Paizo Publishing will demo the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull and Shackles on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at appointed times.


For the first time ever, Diamond is hosting its own PREVIEWSworld Panel on Thursday, July 24th from 12:30-1:30pm PST in room 8. The panel will give a detailed look inside the pages of PREVIEWS, information on how PREVIEWSworld.com interacts with the catalog, followed by an activity session on how to use the PREVIEWS catalog for pre-ordering all the items inside the catalog. The panel will be led by PREVIEWS Editor Marty Grosser, PREVIEWSworld.com Editor Vince Brusio and Diamond Consumer Marketing Manager Andy Mueller. Panel attendees will get a free copy of the August issue of PREVIEWS and have a chance to win many other prizes.
