TOKYO – Dec. 2015 – Not only is Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak presenting Silicon Valley Comic Con in March, but he is in Tokyo today to unveil his role in bringing the first-ever American-style Tokyo Comic Con (TCC) to Japan at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center from December 3 – 4, 2016.  A sister event to Woz’s SVCC coming to San Jose, CA in March 2016, Tokyo Comic Con will bring a new American-style pop culture experience to Japan, uniquely featuring top international celebrities from movies and TV shows, and providing a special experience for fans to meet their favorite stars, take photos together, and sign autographs.

“Tokyo Comic Con 2016 will celebrate pop culture and technology in one of the world’s coolest cities,” said Woz. “From Godzilla to Pokemon to Power Rangers, Japan exports many pop culture trends to the rest of the world. Even the moral codes of the “Star Wars” Jedi are based on some of Japan’s historical samurai culture. In 2016, we will come full circle back to Japan to blend pop culture from Japan and the USA at Tokyo Comic Con.”
