VIZ MEDIA ANNOUNCES NEW MANGA SERIES ACQUISITIONS AT OTAKON 2017
New Titles Scheduled To Launch In 2018 Include The Shojo Series TAKANE & HANA, A RWBY Prequel, And More!
San Francisco, CA, August 2017 – VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), a
premier company in the fields of publishing, animation distribution,
and global entertainment licensing, thrilled audiences during its
official panel held this past weekend at Otakon 2017 as it detailed a
variety of new publishing acquisitions.
The
titles set for publication beginning in early 2018 include the shojo
series TAKANE & HANA, a hilarious romance about a courtship of
opposites; as well as THE YOUNG MASTER’S REVENGE, a shojo romantic
comedy featuring a conniving boy who schemes to make a troublesome girl
fall in love with him.
Also
announced was THE ART OF THE SECRET WORLD OF ARRIETTY, a print-only
hardcover edition set for release next Spring that will feature an
extensive collection of production and concept art and other insights
into the acclaimed film by Studio Ghibli.
VIZ
Media also revealed plans to publish a volume of RWBY prequel stories
based on the mega-popular RWBY animated series from Rooster Teeth.
Previously available in the digital magazine WEEKLY SHONEN JUMP, the
RWBY manga is written and illustrated by Shirow Miwa, who is widely
acclaimed for his series DOGS: BULLETS AND CARNAGE (also published by
VIZ Media).

TAKANE & HANA
