SDCC 2017 Game of Thones Winter is Here Experience

Well, what can we say? Only wait in this line if you are a SUPER DIE HARD GAME OF THRONES FAN! It took us over 8+ hours to get in.  The experience was cool and we love doing a few of them but the people who were running the GOT Experience needs to give out wristbands with a specific time on when to come back instead of making everyone wait in line all day.

The GOT Experience workers already knew how long the line was prior to them opening which was 10AM or was that 11AM? Anyways, since they were already handing out wristbands to everyone in line at 9AM or so they should have times written on them to come back at the time stated so you don't waste your whole day waiting in line.

It wasn't until we got to the last corner to finally get to the home stretch where one of the workers said they can only get so many people in per hour and then they also had technical difficulties throughout the day.

Basically, by the time you get in. You enter your name and email address into their computer and they give you another wristband that gets scanned at each station for each activation inside. The first one you do is basically your reaction sitting in a scene of the show, so a little acting. Once you were done with that, you get your picture taken at the Throne. Another one that took the longest was you wearing costumes to battle etc... and later you get to edit it on the tablets. The last one was playing a video game in trying to kill the White Walkers. Not sure if there was one more activation but once you were done, you head out and get your HBO GOT Swag Bag and that's it. All of the activations that you've scanned your wristband at gets sent to your email address so you can view your pictures and videos later on.

We loved the Experience but having to wait the whole day was literally a waste of one day at SDCC. One piece of advice for any Experience is to have plenty of workers on hand to let everyone in line know what the time wait will be from a certain point and even to go as far as handing out wristbands with times to come back etc... depending on how long it takes to get through an experience.
