DesignerCon 2022 Recap

DesignerCon 2022 was back in full force with a huge turnout of exhibitors and attendees at the Anaheim Convention Center. VIP night was held on Friday night November 18th. There was a good amount of VIP attendees ready to purchase exclusives and to get first dibs on what exhibitors had for sale. Some of the popular booths were Medicom as well as 100% Soft, Secret Handshake Toys, Creature Bazaar, Science Patrols, Unbox Industries and many more. Super7, Joe Ledbetter, The Beast is back, Pop Mart, illest, Kidrobot, 3D Retro, Panels, Leen Customs, Gravy Toys, Rampage Toys, Paul Kaiju, My Plastic Heart, Toy Tokyo are just a few of the hundreds of exhibitors at Dcon this year. So many artists, companies from outside the USA like Punk Drunkers and Medicom teaming up with DCon for collaboration show merchandise. NFT's, NTWRK, Out of Order Art Show, Movie/TV inspired Vehicles were in the building like Ecto-1, TMNT Party Wagon, Pizza Planet Truck and Sally from Cars.

There was pretty much something for almost everyone at this show. Sofubi/Japanese Soft Vinyl Toys, vinyl figures, resin figures, plush, apparel, enamel pins, stickers, art prints, nfts, exclusives, limited edition drops, panels etc... 

If you're not a fan of lines or crowds then VIP Night is definitely worth it besides getting first dibs on most exclusives and releases.

DesignerCon 2021 This Weekend!

DesignerCon 2021 is back this weekend starting Friday, November 12th for VIP Ticket Holders and into the weekend. This is one of the first conventions to slowly come back after the pandemic shut down pretty much everything for over a year. Attendees and Vendors will still have to mask up and show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test. More details can be found on their website HERE.

Mondo Announces Madballs Series 1 Vinyl Figures Pre-Order

Available for Pre-order is Mondo's Madballs Series 1 Vinyl Figures HERE. You can purchase them individually (Skull Face, Slobulus and Horn Head) for $20 each or purchase the set of 3 for $55. The Madballs stands approximately 4" tall.

Vinyl Sugar x A Large Evil Corporation Presents Vinyl Idolz

Vinyl Sugar is the illegitimate love child between Funko and some of the best free-wheeling designers from the back streets of London, the boutiques of Harajuku, and the galleries in NYC. Vinyl Sugar - because you crave it!


Interesting... Funko announced their new brand Vinyl Sugar a couple weeks back but we just found their email in our spam box. It also announced their first collaboration between A Large Evil Corporation call Vinyl Idolz.

The first 3 figures announced is Doc Brown, The Dude and Peter Venkman. More info will be revealed at Toy Fair. 

Funko Announces Pocket POP! Vinyl Figures

Funko announced earlier this week that they will be releasing Pocket POP! Vinyl Figures. As you can see they come in a set of 3 inside a nice Collectible Tin. The Frozen Pocket POP!s are 1.5" tall. These sets retail for $14.99. The Frozen Pocket POP! set will be available in December while the rest won't be available until January.

True Blood POP! Vinyl Figures

True Blood POP! Vinyl Figures from Funko will be hitting store this July! Pick up Sookie Stackhouse, Eric Northman, Alcide Herveaux, Lafayette Reynolds, Pam Swynford De Beaufort and
Bill Compton. Bill Compton will be released a little later than everyone else.

Hanna-Barbera POP! Vinyl Figures

Funko will be releasing Hanna-Barbera POP! vinyl figures and the first 4 announced for release is Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble, Frankenstein Jr & The Impossibles and Hong Kong Phooey. These will be released in June.

Finding Nemo POP! Vinyl Figures & Adventure Time Tin-Tastics!!!

Funko will be releasing Disney / Pixar's Finding Nemo in POP! Vinyl on January 14th 2014. Nemo, Dory, Crush & Bruce will be swimming your way to start the New Year off right!

Adventure Time's Jake & Finn Tin-Tastics will be available December 24th. Each tin includes two stylized erasers, two pencils and a sticker sheet.
