The film is now available to own via Digital HD, and will be available as a Blu-ray Deluxe Edition, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on April 14.

Wondercon Anaheim 2015 Recap

Wondercon has now come and gone. Tickets sold out. Even if there were tickets still available you couldn't just walk up and buy a ticket. First off, one of us was nursing an injury which made it hard to walk or stand too long thus the lack of coverage. Getting injured a couple days before traveling to cover Wondercon was not fun. Was definitely hoping to have healed before the show.

Upon arriving and making our way to pick up our press badges, we noticed the huge line which extended from the convention center that all the attendees were waiting in to pick up their badges or get inside to wait for the exhibit hall to open. If you had purchased a 3-day Badge, you were able to pick it up on Thursday.

There were lots of exhibitors but still smaller than SDCC since the exhibit hall still had lots of space that wasn't used. There weren't too many spectacular looking booths at Wondercon with the exception of a few. The majority of the big exhibitors will bring out the big guns for SDCC. Wondercon is a great venue for comic book companies, independent publishers, artists etc... that usually get forgotten or passed up at SDCC.

Wondercon was still a great event to attend as it's not as daunting to get into panels like at SDCC where you have to line up the night before to get into a panel. Wondercon grows every year and with that it's always a good thing. 

As you all know, Wondercon announced that next year they will be moving the Los Angeles Convention Center.  Still hoping they would move back to Northern California where they started but there's still hope for 2017 as long as they don't any multi-year deals yet.

TNT Unveils New Trailer & Key Art for Season 2 of the "The Last Ship" at Wondercon

TNT has unveiled a new two-minute trailer and key art for the upcoming second season of the blockbuster hit The Last Ship. Fans of the series, which topped the charts as basic cable's #1 new show of 2014, got to see the trailer on the big screen this afternoon at WonderCon Anaheim 2015. They also got to hear about the upcoming season of The Last Ship during a panel discussion with series stars Rhona Mitra (Strike Back) and Adam Baldwin (Firefly, Chuck), Travis Van Winkle (Heart of Dixie), Charles Parnell (Pariah), Christina Elmore (Fruitvale Station), John Pyper Ferguson (Unforgiven) and Jocko Sims (Masters of Sex), along with executive producers Hank Steinberg (creator of Without a Trace, The Nine), Steven Kane (The Closer) and Jack Bender (Lost). The panel was moderated by TV Guide’s Rob Moynihan.

Los Angeles, CA (March 31, 2015) - Steve Sievers, the creator of Supa Pirate Booty Hunt, the award winning animation series, will be available for signings at his booth at WonderCon 2015, where he will promote the new release of Supa Pirate Booty Hunt: The Documentary. Based on his hit animated show, the documentary follows the journey of Sievers bringing the series to life, from its early incarnations to the Award Winning program it has grown to become. MCTV will be distributing the documentary through iTunes, Comcast VOD, Google play, Vudu, Sony Playstation and Xbox channels beginning in April 2015. The film is already available for purchase on DVD on US Military bases across the country.

Following the story of Zack the Pirate and his trusty sidekick Daniel the Turtle, Supa Pirate Booty Hunt began as an sketch on Sievers college radio show. In the years since, it has become an animated series that has featured the work of several amazing artists, voice over legends, and multi-platinum musicians.  This includes Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Megadeth’s Dave Mustaine, Tania Gunadi (Transformers Prime), Spike Spencer (Evangelion), Neil Kaplan (Starcraft II), Greg Eagles (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy), the band 3OH!3, and more. Additionally, the series and its characters have been used in promotions and events for Music Saves Lives, a charity that encourages blood donations and has collected over 1 million units of blood nationwide.

Sievers, born and raised in Maryland, has always been a fan of animation, music, films, and comic books, making him feel right at home at WonderCon. As he now lives in the Anaheim area with his wife, Chelsea, and their daughter Angela, Sievers is happy to be able to present his documentary to its fans as well as hopefully a new audience. “I always loved Behind the Music, and to be able to present Supa Pirate in that same style and manner makes me really proud of all that we’ve accomplished with the series and what we’re looking to do with it in the future.”  Sievers is currently developing an animated feature film for Supa Pirate Booty Hunt, eyeing a Fall of 2018 release.
