Southpark Activation at SDCC 2025 Recap

South Park had their offsite activation pretty far away from everyone else this year. They had a ticketed RSVP line and stand by line. The tickets went as quick as they were released. They were pretty strict on the food/drink policy and that we couldn’t bring in any opened drinks or food including snacks. Kinda absurd to make people throw their stuff away. We get that they wanted us to buy their food, drinks and merch but that’s asking for too much. We were there to experience their activation. They had some cool theming inside and a few photo ops. They had a stage that showed clips from the show. They also had a South Park Trivia contest. Not sure how people were picked for it. On our way out from the activation they gave us button packs. It was an okay activation but not worth waiting in line for.

South Park, Beavis And Butt-Head, And Digman! Set To Take The Stage At San Diego Comic-Con On Thursday, July 24th

 

Comedy Central is bringing together an all-star lineup of animation and comedy legends for a can’t-miss Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. Marking their triumphant return to SDCC after nearly a decade, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park) will join Mike Judge (Beavis And Butt-Head) and Andy Samberg (Digman!) for the Comedy Central Adult Animation panel on Thursday, July 24 at 6:45 PM in Hall H. Season 27 of South Park premieres Wednesday, July 23 at 10:00 PM ET/PT, followed by the season two premiere of Digman! at 10:30 PM ET/PT on Comedy Central.

COMEDY CENTRAL IS COMING TO SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON! #1 BRAND IN COMEDY ANNOUNCES SOUTH PARK ACTIVATION AND CRANK YANKERS PANEL AND INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE

NEW YORK, July 10, 2019 –  Comedy Central will descend upon San Diego Comic-Con with an awesome array of events from South Park and Crank Yankers. The festivities kick-off on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. with a no-badge-required, free and open to the public South Park activation at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Dr. #120) located directly across from the Convention Center, and a Crank Yankers immersive fan experience on Thursday, July 18 inside the Convention Center at Booth #3729. The #1 brand in comedy will also present a Crank Yankers panel on Thursday, July 18 at the Hilton Bayfront in the Indigo Ballroom at 6:45 p.m.

COMEDY CENTRAL TO FEATURE TWO INTERACTIVE SOUTH PARK ACTIVATIONS AT SDCC

Comedy Central is bringing 2 interactive South Park activations to SDCC this year. The first is Cartman's Escape Room.

Cartman’s Escape Room is making its worldwide debut at Comic-Con. Trapped! Caught in another one of Cartman’s schemes, fans will now enter the most impossible to escape place ever invented. Ten South Park fans will have a limited amount of time solve a series of puzzles using what they know about South Park to free themselves… before it’s too late. This new South Park activation is free and open to the public at the San Diego Wine Center (200 Harbor Dr. #12, across from the Convention Center) from Thursday, July 19 through Saturday, July 21 from 9:30 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 22 from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Funko Announces Ren & Stimpy, Catdog, Baxter Stockman & South Park SDCC 2017 Exclusives

Funko just announced Wave 4 of their SDCC 2017 Exclusives which is themed CARTOONS!!! There's a 2-pack of Ren & Stimpy ( Happy Happy Joy Joy Versions), Flocked Catdog, TMNT's Baxter Stockman, South Park's The Coon & Mint-Berry Crunch POP! Vinyl Figures.

As much as we love their other exclusives that were announced, this wave so far is the best yet!

Kidrobot's SDCC 2017 Exclusives

Kidrobot announced their SDCC 2017 Exclusives today and if you are going to SDCC this year, you can pre-order the exclusives to pick up at the show HERE. They have put up a limited amount of each exclusive online for pre-order. So far only Mr. Sparkle has sold out during the pre-order. Pretty sure they held some back to sell at the show so if you missed out on the pre-order cross your fingers you'll be able to get one at the show.

MyPlasticHeart just put up a lot of new Pre-orders from Kidrobot. It's been a bit quiet at Kidrobot since they were bought by NECA and Frank Kozik is the Creative Director at KR now. Even though we don't collect too much KR stuff anymore, we're still glad they are still around and producing vinyl toys.

Prototypes by Varner Studios at SDCC

SDCC's Exhibit Floor is huge...and you know how you always seem to miss something. (We know this all too well.). Just by chance while trying to navigate the massive exhibit hall row by row, we happen to come across the Varner Studios Booth. They make prototypes for various companies. The ones above are what we came across first but as we turned the corner to look at the other side of the booth, wow we were in for a treat! There were prototypes from the vintage TMNT line and various other lines like Family Guy, Happy Meal/Kids Meal Toys etc...

After the Jump, there are a lot of pictures. We were geeking out this booth and there were maybe 1 or 2 unreleased vintage TMNT toys.
