Loot Crate Announces Loot Fright

Loot Crate announce a subscription line called Loot Fright and each box will be filled with horror related items each month starting in September. The theme for the first box is "Trick or Treat". You have until September 19th  at 9PM Pacific to subscribe for the very first box of Loot Fright. A one month subscription is $24.99 + shipping. FAMOUS MONSTERS has been the leading authority on all things horror, sci-fi, and fantasy related for 59 years and now are bringing decades of horror, sci-fi, fandom to San Jose Convention Center. 

The event will feature horror stars from films such as Hellraiser, Gremlins, and Re-Animator, as well as casts of DAWN OF THE DEAD and the other Living Dead movies to celebrate the legendary George A. Romero. 

Also recently added was a few of the original child actors from the original movie IT.

Universal Monsters Action Figures Stop Motion Animated Short Film

 
Diamond Select Toys sent us over their First ever Universal Monsters Action Figures Stop Motion Animated Short Film title "Trick or Treat".

"Trick or Treat" was animated by Alex Kropinak, the animator behind Marvel.com's "What The...?!" Using a combination of stop-motion photography and computer graphics, Kropinak brought to life the actual action figures, sculpted by Gabriel Marquez, Rudy Garcia and Jean St. Jean. The film's cast includes the Mummy, the Wolfman, Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, Frankenstein's Monster, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula and the Metaluna Mutant.

Kropinak even included a cameo appearance by Diamond Select's first-ever  original concept action figure, Van Helsing. Designed by DST President Chuck Terceira and sculptor Jean St. Jean, the famous monster hunter received his own 7-inch scale figure this year, which was released at the same time as the newest Universal Monsters assortment. The film was co-written by Kropinak and DST Marketing Supervisor Zach Oat, who previously collaborated on ToyFare magazine's Twisted ToyFare Theatre.
