What is Your Dream Loot Crate?

We've been subscribers to Loot Crate for a few years now. They've also been looking to find out what fans and Looters would do if they could design their own Dream Crate. So when we learned all about the project, we decided to join in on the fun.

Our Dream Loot Crate would be themed Saturday Morning TV 80's Edition. It would feature items from TMNT, Ewoks, Scooby-Doo, The Flintstones, Alf, Pee Wee Herman, Smurfs, and My Pet Monster. Also the inside of the box would turn into an 80's TV with extra card cutouts of our favorite shows to put through the screen.
  • TMNT Miniature Diorama (TMNT fighting Shredder/Krang/Foot Clan in the Sewer)
  • For Ewoks, a Plush Wicket or maybe a bunch of Ewok plushes.
  • Scooby Doo with Scooby Snacks Mini Vinyl Figure
  • The Flintstones Mini Art framed featuring the Fred, Wilma, Pebbles, Barney, Betty and Bam Bam as well as Dino.
  • Pee Wee Colorforms but a miniature version featuring items from Pee Wee's Playhouse
  • My Pet Monster Plush Keychain
  • Talking Alf Bobblehead
We chose these subjects because we haven't really seen much of these properties in Loot Crate yet. A lot of adults that grew up in the 80s remember watching these shows on Saturday Morning and catching the latest toy commercials.

Of course everyone has their own Dream Loot Crate, but this would be ours.

PIXELS Electric Dreams Factory at SDCC

PIXELS Electric Dreams Factory was an outside event at SDCC in the Gaslamp District. PIXELS is an upcoming movie featuring Adam Sandler, Kevin James etc... which is set to hit theaters in 2015. As we wait in line we are given 3 tokens to play some of the classic 80's arcade games such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Frogger, etc... The top 5 scores per day are entered to win a Playstation 4 and a Grand Prize winner will win a walk-on roll in PIXELS.

This was pretty fun to do. Haven't played these games in a long time. When you're done playing they take down your info in case you're one of the high scores of the day and can possibly win. If you don't win, it doesn't matter, you can get a cool 80's sunglasses from the Electric Dreams Factory worker.
