If you're an fan or collector of Kaiju, Sofubi and Pins, you're going to want to check out this awesome campaign on Kickstarter. There are 3 different pins that you can pledge for separately or buy them as a set and get a bonus mystery 4th pin. The 3 pins are shown above which are "No Toys, No Life" (1.5" tall), "I'm a Kougai" (1.25" tall), and Hedoro Mascot which is a giant 2" tall pin. This campaign is by Glenn Manders aka Badteethcomics who is the creator of the Cheestroyer. All pins are very reasonably price and ships anywhere in the world. These will be shipping from Australia.

Super7 Mission Store Grand Opening Recap

We made it to Super7's Mission Store Grand Opening this past Friday evening. The layout of the store was very nice and different compared to their store on Haight St. They had their Star Wars and MOTU wallpaper on their walls along with various vintage movie posters, skateboard decks etc... What makes this store different than the one on Haight St. is that the Mission store will carry only Super7 products.

Contemporary Krampus : A Modern Look at an Ancient Legend Curated by Mike Drake. Mike gathered over 50+ artists to have them create their own Krampus. Mike has been interested in Krampus since 1997 when he came across a Juxtapoz magazine. Contemporary Krampus is 118+ pages on glossy heavy stock paper. This is a Soft Cover Book and measures 8.5" x 11".
 
The text inside can be a bit hard to read since you have to make sure you open the book wide enough to read the text on the inner edges. That's the one complaint. Other than that we enjoyed reading it and looking at all the artwork inside.

Monstrosities at MyPlasticHeart

Check out the Monstrosities Group Show at MyPlasticHeart January 3rd for their Opening Reception from 7-10PM. The show runs through January 31st.

This show is a full blown Kaiju show with over 30 original monster toy designs by US and Japanese Kaiju designers BLOBPUS, Bloodguts, Galaxy People, GUUMON, Mechavirus, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore and Paul Kaiju.

Most of the pieces will be sold by a lottery basis starting the opening night of the show. The show will also feature music by Sailor Goon, NY based DJ.

MONSTROSITIES will be on display until Jan 31st, with the main reception being held on January 3rd. Some of the artists will be in attendance, so come out and have a killer time.

Lulubell x Grody Shogun's Anti Valentine's Day Releases will be released throughout the day tomorrow, Wednesday February 15th HERE. There will be a new "Spilled Paint" Ensorcelled Man as seen in the pics above. These will be $50 each.

Next is something different called "Good Head" blind bags which will have 3 total heads (1 head run in various vinyl color, 1 one-off head and 1 blank head for $13. Basically, these heads can be used on the Monsters that you have already or leave them as is.

Finally, there will be Wonderfest Monsters & Dinks as well as a NEW Monster.
