Magic The Gathering x Spider-Man Activation at SDCC 2025 Recap

The Magic: The Gathering x Spider-man activation was pretty cool. We stopped by preview night which was a preview for press/media to check out. They had 5 different welcome decks that you could possible get. They had a comic book room where you can play the game or if you wanted to learn how to play they could teach you as well. They also had the Daily Bugle newspaper, comic book and plenty of photo ops. For press/media night, they served drinks, food and had a DJ. Overall it was a fun experience. Mondo's Very First Toys

 

Austin, TX - Monday, July 21, 2014 - Mondo is doing toys! The launch of figures for The Iron Giant, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Alfred Hitchcock are Mondo's first foray into toy collectibles, with the subjects and diversity of design reflecting Mondo's unique passions. The initial offerings include replicas as well as toys from artist-based designs, which can be previewed at San Diego Comic-Con in Mondo's booth (#835).

Toys join Mondo's growing list of pop culture passions in posters, vinyl, gallery events, VHS and apparel. "I am so pumped to announce toys! We've been working on this in secrecy for a year and now it's time to let you guys know about it. We'll be focusing on existing properties that we love as well as working with artists to bring their own creations to life. This is a new area for us, but I resist the term 'expansion' since the goal for Mondo has always been to be a place where artists and designers can work to have their visions realized, whether that's through posters, gallery shows, vinyl, apparel or now toys," said Mondo CEO Justin Ishmael.

From the creative mind of Splurrt comes Cinema Monster which will be under a new toy brand called SECRETOY. In about 5 months or so you will see this huge guy in vinyl form. He will be about 10" tall.

Preview Hot Wheels x Star Wars SDCC Exclusive

Check out this preview pic that Mattel / Hot Wheels Star Wars SDCC Exclusive. Mattel didn't really give out any more clues but if you look at the box it cleary has an image of Darth Vader so perhaps it will be Darth Vader Hot Wheels Car. Lots of exciting releases from Mattel this year!
