FXX's Every Simpsons Ever at SDCC

FXX had the huge area of the lawn between the Hilton & Convention Center to promote their Every Simpsons Ever Marathon which will start August 21st. They will be playing every single episode and the movie that was ever made. Homer's Dome was still being assembled preview night, Thursday and a little bit on Friday morning.

They had a carnival game called the Kwik E Race where you are shooting water into a hole. The prize here is an inflatable donut. The game was free to play. It didn't matter if you win or lose, everyone got one.

FXX wanted 5000 people to color in the tiny squares to complete the image and to get into the Guinness World Records by getting the most people to participate. After you signed a waiver because they were filming it, you filled in your little square and got a paper telling you how to order your Certificate of Participation from the Guiness World Records.
These 2 pictures were taken on Sunday.

They had a seating area where you could just sit there to relax a bit.

Marge's Sweet Station where they were giving out free cotton candy. Blue for Marge's Hair!

What was inside Homer's Dome? The line to find out was pretty long. It took us about 2 hours to get in.
This was where we were in line to get into Homer's Dome, well actually further than this point. The line is on the right side of the pic and goes into the holding area where you see Homer's Head.

This is where you would get The Simpsons Survival Pack when you finally make into the area near Homer's Dome. First they hand you this nifty cinch bag.

They hand you a bottle of water.

Collapsible Water bottle.

Foil Heat shield.
Granola Bar.
Slim Jim - Beef Jerky
Flashlight
Woo Hoo - I Did the Dome Button / Pin (actually they give you two, one before you enter and one when you exit the dome)
What was inside Homer Dome's? Basically you're inside Homer's head and they play from his memory scenes from all different episodes of The Simpsons. It was nice but not worth the 2-Hour wait. Obviously if we had been there right when it opened we wouldn't have an issue with the wait. Most people just wanted to get the bag and the contents inside. If they had let more people inside Homer's Dome at a time the line would have moved faster.

Overall, the whole experience at FXX Every Simpsons Ever was great. It was FREE to everyone even if you did not have a SDCC badge.
