Funko Hollywood

What can we say, we were excited and thrilled to check out the Funko Hollywood store before we headed to Designer Con. There are tons of photo ops there and just an awesome store in general. They have security guards and tons of Funko products there including Funko Shop exclusives. It's like a trip to an amusement park with free admission. Since it was the grand opening week of the store, they were still setting up the build your own pop figure.

Designer Con 2019 Recap

Designer Con 2019 was another great show in the books for this year and our last major show of 2019. The show was bigger with more exhibitors than last year. The space seemed more filled up as well. The aisles didn't seem as wide as last year either so it was easier to navigate each row and check out everyone's booth on both sides of the aisle.

There were companies, artists, illustrators, indie toy makers and so many artists & companies from around the world that traveled to Anaheim for Designer Con. We definitely spent more than what we were going to spend. If you're into anything art related, pop culture, kaiju, monsters etc... this is the show to go to since you'll find all sorts of things that you never knew existed. There were mini art shows, DJ Battle and lots more... See you next year!

Here's a few pictures but check out our slideshow below to see over 600+ pictures and a few videos too! If you can't view the slideshow below, go directly to our flickr album HERE. Thanks!

Los Angeles Comic Con 2019 Recap

Nothing beats a road trip to LA except wildfires that shut down one of the main arteries to Southern California I-5 which is an essential freeway for those traveling up and down California. I-5 was shut down and we had to take a 5+ hour detour to hit the 101 freeway all the way west towards the Pacific Ocean. It was not fun, let me just tell you that. It was a super long drive and very frustrating. We didn't arrive to LA Comic Con until a few hours after it had already opened on that Friday. Needless to say we were tired and exhausted and just wanted to go to the hotel and forget the day we just had.

We eventually made it to LA Comic Con with a few hours left of the show. We stayed for a couple of hours on Friday and came back on Saturday to check everything out after we rested from the extremely long drive.

Superman: Red Son

Based on DC’s famed Elseworlds tale from 2003, Superman: Red Son takes place in an alternate reality where the spaceship bearing the last survivor of Krypton crash lands – not in rural Kansas, but in Stalinist Russia. Can this Cold War-era Earth survive the coming of a Soviet Superman?

Superman: Red Son is the next entry in the popular series of DC Universe Movies. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC, the feature-length animated film arrives – along with a new DC Showcase animated short, Phantom Stranger – from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital starting February 25, 2020, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack and Blu-ray Combo Pack on March 17, 2020.
