The first ever Super7 Trading Card Series! Each SDCC purchase will come with a FREE wax-pack of trading cards! Not a single card, but a full pack of eight old-school style cards in wax wrapper. Each is printed on brown, chipback cardboard the way cards were intended to be. The Super7 Series cards feature brand new illustrations and images from Joshua Herbolsheimer, Invisible Creature, Matthew Allison and more!     As an added bonus, each individual SDCC toy will also come with an exclusive trading card! The card will be included in the polybag and will not be found in the wax-pack or anywhere else.   We’ve had so much fun with the card project that our entire booth will have a trading card theme!

BURBANK, Calif. (June 28, 2012) — Comic-Con and Warner Bros. announced today that the Studio will once again follow the official Comic-Con® International: San Diego ticket distribution system for autograph signings at Comic-Con 2012, with the Con implementing a new procedure for 2012. The Studio will present more than 20 signings at the booth this year, including TV and digital series, as well as motion pictures (see current signing dates below).

All signings will be held at the Warner Bros. booth, #4545 on the Comic-Con exhibition floor

For the second straight year, Warner Bros. will distribute wristbands for signings via daily ticket drawings held at the Sails Pavilion inside the San Diego Convention Center, under the long-standing Comic-Con system

NEW FOR THIS YEAR

For 2012, the following modifications will be in effect for the wristband line procedure:

All ticket drawings and wristband distributions for all signings will begin in the morning of the day of the specific signing, when the Sails Pavilion opens to attendees. Badged Comic-Con members can begin lining up as soon as the Sails Pavilion area opens to attendees. The ticket drawings will begin at 8:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter.

All of the drawings for all signings will now take place in one line on the morning of the signing

Advisory to fans and attendees: Lines will likely be much longer this year, and we appreciate your patience and understanding

“We look forward to Warner Bros.’ participation again at Comic-Con,” said David Glanzer, director of marketing and public relations for Comic-Con International. “The line-up of shows and talent is something we and the fans look forward to each year, and this year’s schedule seems to be the best yet!”

Here’s how it works:

Fans identify the signing they want to attend

On the morning of the day of the signing they hope to attend, fans should arrive at the Sails Pavilion floor (between Ballroom 20 and Rooms 6A, 6BCF and 6DE) in the morning

·         Ticket distribution for Comic-Con’s random draw will begin when the Sails Pavilion opens to attendees. Badged Comic-Con members can begin lining up as soon as the Sails Pavilion area opens. The ticket drawings will begin at 8:00 a.m. or shortly thereafter.

A limited number of wristbands will be available for each signing, via Comic-Con’s random draw process

There will be one line for all drawings and signings. We appreciate your patience!

The random drawing will determine which fans receive wristbands granting access to each autograph line

Fans who obtain wristbands should arrive at the Warner Bros. booth 30 minutes before the signing to line up

Critically-Acclaimed Documentary Will Be Released In Two Special Edition Sets With One-of-A-Kind Figurines - Including the First Ever Joss Whedon Action Figure

Los Angeles, CA (June 13, 2012) - Chris Ball, President and CEO of LA-based film production and distribution company Wrekin Hill Entertainment, and Joel Weinshanker, President and CEO of NECA Films, a division of NECA, announced today that Morgan Spurlock's (SUPER SIZE ME) COMIC-CON EPISODE IV: A FAN'S HOPE will be released on DVD ($19.99 SRP) on July 10, 2012. The film will also be available in two Collectors Editions with figurines ($29.99SRP).

The two Collector's Editions will contain the DVD alongside action figures of Stan Lee and Harry Knowles or Joss Whedon and Spurlock. This is the first time mega-director Whedon has been immortalized into action figure status... which will no doubt delight fans everywhere.

The Whedon/Spurlock special editions will be sold exclusively at Toys "R" Us stores nationwide.  The products are part of a unique retail opportunity with Toys "R" Us and will be sold alongside other action items dedicated to Comic-Con 2012.  The Lee/Knowles editions will be available at select stores and at online retailers.  A third combo-pack from HeroClix with all four figures and the DVD will also be available in July at game stores nationwide ($29.99 SRP).

Dark Horse Deluxe To Release Good Luck Trolls Late July & SDCC Exclusive Announced

ON JULY 25!

MILWAUKIE, OR, JUNE 28–One of the greatest toy phenomena of all time has been Good Luck Trolls, originally created in 1959 by Danish fisherman and woodcutter Thomas Dam. At various times since the early 1960s these charming little dolls have been a top-selling toy, building a seldom-achieved brand equity and strong consumer response. After disappearing from the market for many years, Good Luck Trolls are set to return this year with a modern twist on their timeless charm.

Good Luck Trolls “mystery box” assortments are a new collectibles merchandise program by Dark Horse Comics under a license granted by Dam Things, who hold all rights to the works of Thomas Dam. The mystery box is being introduced to the market with an on-sale date of July 25.

Dark Horse sees Good Luck Trolls as a natural for the company’s designer vinyl line of toys, and has created variations of color and design to pique the interest of customers. The first collection offers up fifteen different versions of the figures in various colors and with unique surface treatments, including metallic, flocked, black-light sensitive, glitter, and glow-in-the-dark.

Dark Horse’s VP of Product Development, David Scroggy, notes, “When we considered developing Trolls for the first time, we were confident that they would resonate with our audience of pop culture fans and modern collectors. We have a good sense of our customers’ tastes, and are not afraid to commit to an under-the-radar property if we think that it is likely to be embraced by our young adult consumers.”
Mystery box (also known as “blind box”) trading figures are essentially the same product, varying in decoration and materials, and sold randomly out of sealed packages. Some of the figures are common to every counter display, whereas “chase” figures are much harder to come by. The ratio of availability is printed on each package, so the consumer knows the relative scarcity of the figure purchased.

Dark Horse has varied the hair color within the most common figures, so that there will be more variety and more fun for the collector. For example, half of the yellow-body figures in a 2/15 ratio will have blue hair; the others will have pink hair.

The Good Luck Trolls are presented in a counter display unit holding fifteen individual blind boxes. Each Troll is packaged in an opaque foil bag inside its box to prevent tampering or viewing prior to purchase.

Dark Horse has also created a one-time limited edition of 1,500 green-body Good Luck Trolls with snow-white hair that are sensitive to black light. They will be sold exclusively at the Dark Horse booth at Comic-Con International in San Diego, July 12–15, 2012.

TORONTO, ON – June 28, 2012 – What do a sexy succubus, a handsome shape-shifting wolf and a quirky human have in common? They are all cast members of Syfy’s hit supernatural drama series, Lost Girl, and they are heading to San Diego Comic-Con! Lost Girl is the number #1 cable drama on Syfy among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 in its time period.

Anna Silk (Bo) is returning to the internationally renowned convention, this time bringing with her some fan favourite cast mates. Silk, Kris Holden-Ried (Dyson) and Ksenia Solo (Kenzi) will lead a panel along with Executive Producer, Jay Firestone (Prodigy Pictures) and veteran Lost Girl writer and Executive Producer, Emily Andras. The panel takes place on Saturday, July 14 at 8:15pm in room: 6BCF. 

Earlier in the day, fans will have the chance to meet the trio during an exclusive autograph signing session at FUNimation Entertainment’s booth #4135 where posters will be supplied for the signing.  Fae-natics who pre-order a Season One DVD at the booth will receive both a Lost Girl t-shirt and an autograph ticket while supplies last. Any remaining autograph tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis beginning Saturday morning when the exhibit hall opens at the FUNimation booth.

Last month, Syfy announced their acquisition of the third season of Lost Girl, currently in production in Toronto, Canada.

At this one-of-a-kind panel Sci Fi enthusiasts and film geeks alike will have the opportunity to learn what it takes to get a film into production and how the support of a crowd-funding site like Kick Starter can help surge interest and funds. On Friday July 13 from 8:30-9:30pm the producers of Space Command will present their star-studded panelSpace Command: Bold Adventures In The Far Reaches Of Space. The panel will feature Science Fiction Legends Marc Scott Zicree (The Twilight Zone CompanionStar Trek: The Next Generation), Doug Drexler (Battlestar Galactica), Neil Johnson (Humanity's End), Michael Reaves (Star Wars, Batman-The Animated Series), and Ian McCaig (The Avengers, Star Wars) where they will premiere original footage from the highly anticipated epic adventure series that spans 200 years of Galactic History. The visionary team will offer fans a sneak peek at the original Character design, along with producer David Raiklen’s extended version of the existing VFX trailer.  The film and its score are inspired by heroic science fiction of the 50s.  The film is currently in pre-production where its Award Winning production team is currently crafting original space costumes and space ships. Production will take place in October 2012 and the film will be released in a multi-platform manner: DVD, Bluray, digital download with DVD and Video on Demand.
The credibility of the project itself is resulting in a great deal of support from the Hollywood Community. Leaders in the Sci-Fi genre including Damon Lindelof  (Prometheus, LostNeil Gaiman (Sandman, American Gods, Dr. Who, Coraline), Glen Mazzara (Waking Dead) , David Brin (leading author), Jane Espenson (Game of Thrones) and Guillermo Del Toro (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy) have shown their support and have boosted the project into the mainstream media.
