SDCC 2014 Recap!

As we look back at SDCC 2014, we notice how much of the outside events are now giving what's inside the convention center a bit of stiffer competition. If you weren't waiting in line inside the convention center for a panel, exclusive or signing then you were waiting in line outside for one of many outside events that took place this year. Most outside events did not require you to have at SDCC badge. If the outside events were this good this year, what can we expect in the years to come?

Let's start off with preview night! This year the weather in San Diego was nice and sunny for most days but was also pretty humid this year. We picked up our passes and made our way to get in line for the exhibit hall.

By the time we got in line there were thousands of people in line already waiting to get in. The line goes to about 8-10 people wide and it probably got close to getting wrapped around the whole top floor of the convention center.
If you were one of 250 people trying to get their hands on Super7 x Funko's Alien Egg Chamber Playset SDCC Exclusive, you were probably somewhere around Super7's booth in line. Super7's booth was very crowded on preview night. Obviously these sold out but if you missed out, you were able to pre-order the Black Box version with a different colored base at the show or online. The Black Box version is made to order so that everyone who wanted one could get one.

Preview night as you can expect was still crowded no matter how much SDCC puts a cap on preview night passes.

Thursday - Sunday was pretty much get as little sleep as possible and prepare to stand in line for everything. We will have separate posts for a lot of the events that we were able to check out. Below is a slideshow featuring pictures from inside the Exhibit Hall.

Ahhh can't believe SDCC is over and done with. It was fun as always, lots of waiting in line and spotting a few celebrities such as Jack Black walking the exhibit floor and getting to meet Darryl "DMC" McDaniels during his signing for his upcoming DMC comic book coming out soon. We have a lot of separate posts featuring some of the highlights for us at SDCC. This isn't the end of our SDCC recap. More posts to follow!
