Hi-Fructose's Oasis of Chaos at SDCC 2011

Hi-Fructose will be bringing an Oasis of Chaos to SDCC 2011. They will have signings, art exclusives, exclusive appearances, book releases and so much more. We last showed you a preview of one of their wood print exclusives by Alex Pardee here. The picture above shows a better view of the print.

This was featured on Hi-Fructose's 1st issue back in 2005. Alex Pardee's print is 11"x14" and limited to 50 signed & numbered pieces. Each one will be slightly different due to the different textures in the wood. These will be available on Thursday, July 21st at 2PM.

Can't wait to see what else Hi-Fructose will have at SDCC.

Artist D-Lux's Rikishi Kickstarter Project

Artist Dan D-Lux Orosco needs your help on Kickstarter! He needs our help to fund his Rikishi (Sumo Wrestler) figure. The figure is going to be pretty big at 8-9" tall, 4-5" wide and have 5 points of articulation. This figure will be sculpted, molded and produced in Japan.

We have seen the many customs that D-Lux has done over the years. I can personally say that I own a couple of his customs too. From just looking at the sketch shown in the video, it looks pretty good. Can't wait until he posts more pictures which I hope is soon.

Spoonful of Star Wars @ SDCC

If you were not able to attend Designercon last year, you missed the Spoonful of Star Wars Show. The good news is that the Spoonful of Star Wars show will be at SDCC at DKE's Booth #4728.

Dov Kelemer & Sarah Jo Marks (owners of DKE) commissioned artist Bwana Spoons to reinterpret each Vintage Kenner Star Wars action figure from 1977-1985. There are over 100 original paintings.
