The 1st Designer Toy Awards will take place @ Munky King's The Black Ball Party July 21st from 9PM-2AM.

FREE KÀ by Cirque Du Soleil @ SDCC Opening Night Performance

The resident production of KÀ by Cirque du Soleil at MGM Grand in Las Vegas will make their first ever appearance at Comic-Con with a free public performance on the opening night of Comic-Con.

"A display of dazzling 3-D projections created especially for Comic-Con will tell the adventurous tale of KÀ by turning the façade of PETCO Park, home of the San Diego Padres, into an interactive performance space combining projections and live acrobatics. The audience will get a bird’s-eye view of a fierce battle pitting the Imperial Twins of KÀ and their allies against an enemy warrior tribe as the scene plays out on the surface of a 90-foot high vertical stage. The event is free and open to all Comic-Con attendees."

KÀ is a gravity-defying production featuring an innovative blend of high-flying feats, puppetry, projections and martial arts. KÀ unfolds on a custom-built, colossal, 360-degree rotating stage which forms the backdrop for this cinematic journey of aerial adventure and perpendicular acrobatics. Illustrator Provocateur L'Amour Supreme is bringing an All-Star entourage of artists to the table for 2 hours of creative chaos. Rumored yet unconfirmed names culled from the Twitosphere have included Skinner, Count Chocula, TWERPS, the Creature from Laguna Beach, COOP, and Beezelbub Jr.

Monstre Sean's Resin Emporium - 2pm - 5pm
Monstre Hero and UHOH toys team up to bring us a crunchy selection of cutting edge Resin-based Figures

Vectar's Saturday Night Special  - 5pm - 7pm
He's Baaaack. Second tier toy villain crashes the Symposium to drop a glyos-compatible version of himself. He will be joined in his capers by SideKick Lab. It might get messy.
