Pop Surrealist Painter, Comic Artist to Showcase 30 one-of-kind, Original Three-Dimensional toys Recreating Portraits of her Famous Girls as toy Figurines
Pop surrealist painter, comic artist, and author Camilla d'Errico brings unique custom vinyl statuettes and more to DesignerCon 2018, with several opportunities for the public to see her latest work and to speak with her.
Custom Toy Pop Up Gallery Show
Just in time for DesignerCon, Camilla will be showcasing 30 new hand-painted customized three-dimensional designer toys, recreating portraits of her widely known and loved girls as figurines in a pop up gallery collection at her booth #2334. The custom toys utilize base platforms released by artist and toy designers, Kathie Olivas’s Wandering Misfits and Seulgie’s Satyrs. These exclusive pieces of art range from three to six inches in size and will not be transferred to prints in the future, further enhancing their individuality and exclusivity. Each toy has been hand-painted and customized in a rainbow of palettes and characters, embracing Camilla’s expression of love and diversity and her love of DesignerCon. In her words, “Unlike the larger, more media-focused events, here the artist can just be an artist. DCon celebrates the soul of the artist, giving individuals the creative freedom to showcase what some only imagine.”
The Shard Show 2 – Custom Shard Kidrobot Dunny Designer Toy
Camilla will be contributing to Shard Show 2, a custom Designer Toy show curated by Scott Tolleson, Kidrobot, and Broke Piggy. Camilla’s one-of-a-kind custom painted 5 inch Shard will be on display and available at Booth #2005 alongside a collection of hand-painted and customized Shards from other artists.
Jellymaid Designer Con Exclusive Embellished Limited Edition Fine Art Print
Releasing exclusively at Designer Con is Camilla’s “Jellymaid” 8x10 hand-embellished limited edition fine art print. Signed and numbered in an edition of 10 pieces, each piece will feature hand-painted embellishments made by Camilla. The edition will retail for $45 each. A closed edition of three pieces that are signed and numbered artist proofs will be available for $55 each. These fine art prints will release exclusively at booth #2334.
Panel: Arcane Divination

Camilla will participate on a panel surrounding the release of the follow-up to Kidrobot’s Arcane Divination on Saturday, November 17th at 1:00 p.m. Originally launched in 2017, Kidrobot's tarot-inspired Arcane Divination series was their first multi-artist Dunny series since 2014. The entire stock quickly sold out and made it one of the company’s biggest smash hits. Please join featured artists J★RYU, JPK, Camilla d'Errico, Doktor A, and Godmachine who will discuss the gotta-have-it work they’ve created, and the upcoming release of Arcane Divination: The Lost Cards mini-series, the recently released Dunny 5” Azazel Dunny and surprise announcements!
Additionally, after the panel, from 2:15 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., there will be a signing at Kidrobot booth #2010 to promote the upcoming release of the Arcane Divination Series 2 Artist Dunny Series release for 2019. J★RYU will be there as well.
The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey
Camilla will sign copies of the limited edition graphic novel, “Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero's Journey” on Sunday, November 18th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the FYE booth #2200. The graphic novel celebrates the 25th anniversary of the original film’s release, and Camilla was commissioned by TOKYOPOP directly to design the limited-edition variant cover for FYE (For Your Entertainment). Stu Levy, Editor and Founder of TOKYOPOP, and publisher of “Zero’s Journey,” will also be signing.
Original Works
In conjunction with APPortfolio, Camilla recently released her “Aria” wall sculpt with hand painted elements, flocking, and crystal eyes. The sculpt brings her Aria painting to three-dimensional life. The wall sculpt will be on display and for sale at the DesignerCon booth#2334. Camilla will also offer scarves, bags, and T-shirts.
The Beehive: A Collection of Fuzzbutts Vol. 1
Camilla will be displaying her newest art book “The Beehive,” a self-published collection featuring more than 70 pages of full-color artwork of her fuzzy rainbow bee characters, which have taken her social media and live events by storm. The art book will be available at booth #2334 and she will hand-sign copies at no additional cost.
Pop Manga Mermaids and Other Sea Creatures: A Coloring Book
Camilla will also showcase her “Pop Manga Mermaids and Other Sea Creatures: A Coloring Book,” which was recently published by Watson-Guptill/Penguin Random House. Following on the success of her first coloring book, “Pop Manga Coloring Book,” with over 32,800+ copies sold to date since its 2016 publication, the new coloring book contains 70 black-and-white images of beloved characters from undersea fairy tales, including beautiful and haunting images of mermaids, krakens, giant seahorses, narwhals, and more. Copies may be found at booth#2334 and Camilla will sign them at no additional cost.
Femina And Fauna: The Art of Camilla d'Errico
Camilla will also promote her art book "Femina And Fauna: The Art of Camilla d'Errico," published by Dark Horse Comics, available at booth#2334. This title is a second edition of her smash hit “Femina & Fauna” art book, which sold out of four printings.
The foreword for the Dark Horse publication is written by Simone Legno, founder of tokidoki, the Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand and maker of apparel, footwear, accessories and other products using art and cartoon characters.
The book features a collection of Camilla’s lush pop surrealist paintings featuring her portrait subjects with animals, spanning a decade of her gallery career.
