Paramount+ The Lodge was back at SDCC for their 3rd year in a row. This year the themed experiences were Dexter: Resurrection, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Landman, Mission Impossible, NCIS: Tony & Ziva, CBS Sports Clubhouse & Pluto TV. Reservations were super hard to get and gone within seconds when they were released. If you weren’t able to get a reservation they had a stand by line. Every time slot were given 50 minutes inside.

Once we entered, we could go to any experience that we wanted to. In no particular order we will start with Dexter Resurrection. They gave out a bloody linen cloth towel when entering this experience. It was limited per time slot so not everyone that went through it received one.

Behind the facade of a wine cellar was a mysterious Vault that held collections of relics, case files and keepsakes from some of history’s most notorious killers. Check out our pics below:

Star Trek : Strange New Worlds
Star Trek was the longest line to get through and took so much time that you needed to come back multiple times to experience the rest of the activations inside. They were giving out tote bags but not very many per time slot. It took a long time because they had a bar serving an Orion Hurricane drink. The bar accommodated 3 people at a time. The bartender was awesome though. The drink itself looked cool but didn't taste very well. Most likely it was because it was not cold or had ice in it. It was room temperature. After the bar, there was a photo op. We were given an option to skip the bar and just do the photo op if we did not want to wait in line. Was it worth it? Not for the wait it wasn't. They probably could've filtered in more people if they had mixed the drinks for the 3 people to sit but then served smaller sample cups to everyone else so the wait didn't take so long. The wait ate up so much time that you're left with very little time so you had to really choose and pick what to do next.

CBS Sports Clubhouse
This area was decked out as a chill sports bar. They had a TVs set up, bleacher seats, shuffleboard, NFL Jerseys on the wall, a bar, turf and an area to throw a football through one of the holes. Overall it was nice chill area to relax. See pics below:

Landman
Landman had a Oil pump and Landman branded Oil drums. The bar served drinks in a collectible M*Tex mugs which we were able to keep and take with us. Some were lucky enough to snag a leather Landman coaster which we did not score. They had seating areas and tables. There were servers walking throughout The Lodge serving burgers, chicken sandwiches and fries. The theming was on point. See our pics below:

Mission Impossible
This was a cool experience. We got to experience movie magic and re-enacted Tom Cruise's character dropping down in a harness to type on a computer. After we were done we put in our info to get our video sent to us.

NCIS : Tony & Ziva
Outside it looked like a nice little Parisian Cafe but once you stepped inside it was a stripped down safehouse which included surveillance equipment, photos and more. There was a photo and video op inside next to a safe that had money and passports. It was a fun and unique experience. Pics below:

Pluto TV
Pluto TV had a photo op with popcorn (foam) flying around and they gave out boxes of popcorn and slushies.

Food Drinks & Swag
They offered mini burgers, mini chicken sandwiches, french fries (forgot to take a pic) as well as The Champions Club drink from the Sports bar as well as the drinks from the Landman bar with the collectibles mugs (also forgot to take pics). The Nerd Out drink was a bonus drink that if we said the magic phrase we got that drink on top of the other 2 drinks. This drink did not require us to use a drink tab. The best drink was The Nerd Out drink. You'll see another pic of the Star Trek drink below. The only thing good about it was the color and the candy it came with. Last pic was all the swag we got when we went. Didn't get everything but we tried.

For those wondering about the Land Deed, only select fans while waiting in line that were asked questions were given these. Details on how fans would be able to get it below from their press release:
"Select fans can also participate in an interactive social experience while they wait in line for The Lodge at the Paramount+ Fan Frontier Outpost. Guests will have a chance to “claim” their very own spot on the legendary Paramount Mountain* inspired by Paramount+ IP such as SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS, STAR TREK, YELLOWJACKETS, SURVIVOR and more in a fun and unique way. Upon exiting The Lodge, participants can pick up their personalized printed “deed” at the outpost and a digital copy will be sent via SMS."
The Lodge was a fan favorite again this year. We had a great time and hope The Lodge will be back next year!
