COSTUME DESIGNERS GUILD (I.A.T.S.E.
LOCAL 892) RETURNS TO COMIC-CON
FOR THE NINTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
Costume
Designers Guild (I.A.T.S.E. Local 892), the labor union representing
costume designers, assistant costume designers and illustrators in film
and television, will be
participating in San Diego Comic-Con July 24-27
at the San Diego Convention Center. The Guild returns to produce and
host lively television and film costume design panels, as well as
recognize the best Comic-Con costumes in the Hall Costume Awards and at
the
Comic-Con International 2014 Masquerade Ball.
This
year we are excited to introduce a third (and all new) panel, “Costumes
as a Career,” in addition to our annual “Costume Design” and “Costume
Illustration” panels. We
will also unveil a new Masquerade Ball award trophy, created by Legacy
Effects, as well as a new CDG/Comic-Con
event apparel t-shirt.
