Kaiju For Japan
Yesterday, Japan was hit with a huge 8.9 Earthquake and following that they were hit with a Tsunami which wiped out cities and with the reports of lives lost and lots of people still missing. Last night, we watched in horror as our nightly news aired live footage of the Tsunami rushing through the farm lands and taking out anything in its path. Japan has been feeling many, many aftershocks. Many countries in the Pacific Ocean all had Tsunami Warnings issued from Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Hawaii, and the West Coast States of the U.S.
In California, there was some damage from what we know so far in Santa Cruz at the Boat Yard where all morning on the news it showed how powerful the waves were that it broke and damaged docks and sent boats floating adrift into other boats and hitting them, capsizing or floating out into the Ocean. There was also an incident near the Klamath River in Northern California where 3 men went to take pictures of the Tsunami this morning and got swept out to sea. 2 of the men were able to swim back but 1 is still missing at this time.
Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers goes out to everyone in Japan in this difficult and tragic time.
If you are Kaiju toy customizer or toy customizer and would like to donate a custom to Kaiju For Japan you can do so by contacting the organizer here as well as to read more information. Thanks to Troy Stith for organizing this!
In addition to Kaiju for Japan, you can also donate to the Red Cross.
EDIT- If interested in donating any other items besides custom work, please contact Troy Stith. Thank you!
