Artist Ashley Wood a Special Guest at SDCC

Artist Ashley Wood will be a Special Guest at SDCC and most of you know him from his comics or better yet 3A Toys! Ashley will be at IDW's Booth # 2643 for signings and also bringing with him exclusives and hard to find items from his toys to books.

Right now you can pre-order Ashley's Popbot Big Beautiful Book  and Fat Tarino at IDW. Both are limited to 500 pieces.

Ashley will also be in the Spotlight Panel, Friday, July 22nd at 4:30PM in ROOM 24ABC. Please check that day for any schedule or room changes. There are times when programming changes the same day so pick up one of their schedule newsletters in the morning to make sure there was no last minute changes.

4th of July Weekend!

Hope you all had a great 4th of July Weekend! We decided to take a break from the usual postings and what not. This weekend with time to just to reflect on what Independence Day means to us and to relax and have some good BBQ. I guess you can call this the calm before the storm that is SDCC. Only 2 weeks before the big show of the year.

Lulubell x Grody Shogun's 1st release of their original figure Ojisan & Karakuri.

"His name is Ojisan and he is a vain little Yokai (Japanese folk spirit). He’s also kinda lazy, so he made a Karakuri (edo era self-automated robots) in his own image. Actually, Ojisan spends more time setting up his Karakuri then if he went out a collected webs himself."

Ojisan is about 3.5" tall and has 3 points of articulation. They are cast in milky white vinyl & covered in amazing Technicolor spray goodness from head to toe. $23 each. Pre-order for this little guy is Saturday, July 2nd at 12noon Pacific Time at Lulubell. SOLD OUT

Hi-Fructose's Oasis of Chaos at SDCC 2011

Hi-Fructose will be bringing an Oasis of Chaos to SDCC 2011. They will have signings, art exclusives, exclusive appearances, book releases and so much more. We last showed you a preview of one of their wood print exclusives by Alex Pardee here. The picture above shows a better view of the print.

This was featured on Hi-Fructose's 1st issue back in 2005. Alex Pardee's print is 11"x14" and limited to 50 signed & numbered pieces. Each one will be slightly different due to the different textures in the wood. These will be available on Thursday, July 21st at 2PM.

Can't wait to see what else Hi-Fructose will have at SDCC.
