Heteromorphism @ Double Punch Gallery Recap

Heteromorphism Art Show curated by Junichi Yajima (Yajima-san) owner of Dreamrocket. The Opening Reception was September 24th 2011 at Double Punch in San Francisco, CA. Unfortunately, we were not able to make it for the opening and missed out on meeting Yajima-san who came all the way from Japan. We were able to check out all the wonderful pieces that were still available at Double Punch this past weekend and picked up couple pieces as well.

The custom figures and artwork was amazing. Check out some of our pics below or click on the link HERE to view our album. You can purchase what's still available from the show at Double Punch's Gallery Store HERE.

Friday Toy Day!

Nothing better to start off the weekend than to get new toys. Got in my Monstergools by Grody Shogun. This is a mash up of Grody Shogun's Monster Heads on top of Paul Kaiju's Seagool body. All painted by Grody Shogun. Unpainted clear blue Cosmos Pocket Boris & Standing Killer along with a set of buttons from Bwana Spoons. Finished off Friday night by picking up Cometdebris' Sametan from the Sink or Swim Show at Spoke Art Gallery.

Cometdebris Clear Blue Sametan

This Sametan was available at Sink or Swim with proceeds benefiting PangeaSeed. Limited amounts were available on Cometdebris' website. Sametan is a hit and sold out. Lots of details from the teeth to the stitches on the fins etc... If you missed this, don't worry a color version will be coming out soon.

PangeaSeed x Spoke Art Gallery's Sink or Swim Show Recap

Back of the Line Waiting to get in
PangeaSeed x Spoke Art Gallery Sink or Swim Benefit Show for the Sharks and the Ocean had their Opening Reception on Friday, September 24th at 6PM. We got into San Francisco on a busy Friday evening a bit before the show opened. Looking for parking we see the line go up the block. People were camped out there early in the day with their fold up chairs etc... We later find out the line was for purchasing Josh Keyes' art print.

We were there to purchase Cometdebris x PangeaSeed's Clear blue Sametan figure which made its debut at this show. If you were lucky enough, Cometdebris had a few up for sale yesterday in his online shop. All proceeds for this figure goes to benefit PangeaSeed. If you missed out, don't worry there will be a color version coming out soon.
