San Francisco Bay Area’s Premiere Japanese Pop Culture Event Offers The
Fan Experience With Options To Meet This Year’s Dynamic Roster Of
Artists And Performers For Autographs And Photo Sessions
San Francisco, CA, June 28, 2016 – J-POP SUMMIT 2016, one of the world’s biggest Japanese pop culture events, has detailed an exciting array of Guest of Honor Meet & Greet sessions and unique autograph and/or photo opportunities to take place at this year’s festival.
J-POP SUMMIT 2016 will take place Saturday and Sunday, July 23rd and 24th at the historic Fort Mason Center located in San Francisco’s Marina district. Full festival details are available at: J-POP.com.

This year’s J-POP SUMMIT will feature live concert performances by the electronic dance group, WORLD ORDER, all-female pop rock band, Silent Siren, pop house unit, Wednesday Campanella, idol dance troupe, Tokyo Performance Doll, kimono cosplay duo, YANAKIKU, and the ani-pop duo, GARNiDELiA.
Additional notable Guests of Honor include the popular illustrator Kaori Wakamatsu, the visual pop artist Hiroyuki-Mitsume Takahashi, and artist Ken Hamazaki a.k.a. “The Red Man,” Japan’s drag royalty and singer, Mitz Mangrove, and Japan’s favorite Go-Torch Characters. Also, NHK WORLD, an
international broadcasting service and one of J-POP SUMMIT 2016’s
sponsors, will host events at its NHK WORLD Booth. These events include cooking demonstrations with Dining with the Chef TV personalities, Chef Saito and host Yu Hayami, as well as pop culture provocateur, Sebastian Masuda, and the iconic Japanese character mascot, Domo.
J-POP SUMMIT VIP pass holders will be permitted to attend a special artist Meet & Greet to take place in the J-POP SUMMT VIP Lounge. Attendees will be able to meet the following artists for personal photos and autographs:

Requirement:
Attendees must purchase Kaori Wakamatsu related items worth at least
$20 or a Kinokuniya Gift Card worth at least $20 at the Kinokuniya
Booth. The first 200 customers will receive a ticket to Kaori
Wakamatsu’s autograph session! She will draw an illustration and sign on
it right in front of you. Ticket buyers may select specific time slots
at the time of purchase. Sessions are limited to 25 people per slot.

days.

Chef
Tatsuo Saito and Yu Hayami, the TV personalities of “Dining with the
Chef,” will host a live cooking demo. They will demonstrate how to
prepare a Japanese popular dish in a super-easy way for everyday home cooking. They will also introduce, “JAPANESE FOOD,” NHK WORLD’s new culinary culture website which launched on June 20.
Sebastian Masuda
When: Sat. July 23rd
Sessions: 2:30pm - 3:30pm

Sebastian
Masuda, art director of Kawaii International, NHK WORLD’s pop culture
program that explores everything from Tokyo street fashion to art and
design, will welcome visitors to his TIME AFTER TIME CAPSULE workshop
which includes an interactive art installation in the shape of Domo at
the NHK WORLD Booth. Drop by to add something personal to the time capsule.
