CHUCK JONES GALLERY TO HOST FIRST-EVER ART EXHIBITION FOR NANCY CARTWRIGHT DURING COMIC CON SAN DIEGO
Painting and Sculpture to be on display for two hour event at San Diego’s Comic Con on Saturday, July 23rd at 7:30pm
Los Angeles, CA (July 2016) – The Chuck
Jones Galley will host an event to show paintings and sculpture from
renowned voice over artist Nancy Cartwright on Saturday, July 23rd at 7:30pm during San Diego International
Comic Con. The event is her first ever art gallery exhibition and reception, and is open to the public.
Nancy most recently has created a bronze portrait bust of Bart Simpson, which she gifted to FOX and to the University of Southern California (USC), School of Cinematic Arts. The Bartman sculpture is on permanent display in New York and a second Bartman sculpture is permanently installed in USC’s Cinematic Arts Complex, Steven Spielberg building.
The Chuck Jones Gallery, celebrating its 25th
anniversary, represents the finest in the art of American Pop culture.
It is also the only gallery in San Diego dedicated to the art of the
animated film, representing not only the
work of its namesake, four-time Academy Award recipient and legendary
animation director and creator, Chuck Jones, but also art work by Dr.
Seuss, and all animation studios.
