Warner
Archive Collection (WAC) presents a trio of
entertaining panels at WonderCon over
the March 23-25 weekend in Anaheim, including spotlight discussions
of the newly-remastered, coming-to-Blu-ray Batman
& Mr. Freeze: SubZero, classic & cult
films, and the traditional Con cartoon sing-along – and featuring
the beloved Batman:
The Animated Series
voice of Robin, Loren Lester; Oscar-nominated screenwriter Josh
Olson; heralded screenwriter/songwriter Randy Rogel & notable
psychologist Dr. Andrea Letamendi.
On
Friday, March 23 from 1:00-2:00pm in Room 300B, Warner Archive will
present SubZero and the Evolution of Mr.
Freeze. In anticipation of Warner Archive
Collection’s release of Batman & Mr.
Freeze: Sub-Zero on Blu-ray this Spring, join
Loren Lester, SubZero
screenwriter (and heralded Animaniacs
songwriter) Randy Rogel,
Dr. Andrea Letamendi
(psychologist, The Arkham Sessions),
WAC Podcast hosts D.W. Ferranti &
Matthew Patterson and
some surprise guests as they show remastered SubZero
footage and discuss the film and the evolution of Mr. Freeze from a
goofy threat into an endearing multi-dimensional villain who just
wants to find a cure for his dying wife.
On
Saturday, March 24 from 7:00-8:00pm in Room 300B, it’s Warner
Archive Meets Trailers from Hell. The
forces of film & fun reunite for another insightful examination
of current and upcoming sci-fi, horror and cult movie trailers from
amongst Warner Archive Collection's recent and up-coming Blu-ray
releases. Join Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Josh
Olson (A
History of Violence),
Warner Archive Podcast hosts Matthew
Patterson &
D.W. Ferranti
and some potential surprise guests as they delve deep into the
stories behind a bevy of classics including Black
Scorpion, The Flight of Dragons, Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre
III, and
quite a few unexpected surprises!
And
on Sunday, March 25 from 2:30-3:30pm in North 200B, the toe-tapping
tradition continues with Warner
Archive’s Toonstock 7: Special Guest Edition. An
all-new rendition of the wildly popular Toonstock, this time taking a
long look/listen at a lengthy list of animated music from cartoons
and films, including a special spotlight on Teen
Titans
(featuring the title track by Puffy AmiYumi!), plus Secret
Squirrel,
The Biskitts,
Static Shock
and some upcoming surprises! Then get ready for the beloved Batman:
The Brave and the Bold

As
usual, moderator Gary Miereanu
will be handing out fabulous prizes to lucky fans and special

early, as WAC panels at WonderCon have been known to fill quickly.
