USH Halloween Horror Nights Opening Night 2025

We went to the opening night for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood. Tickets were sold out for the night as well as the express pass. This year there are 8 haunted houses, 4 scare zones, 2 shows, Terror Tram and various themed food/drinks and merch. We made it through all 8 haunted houses, scare zones and Terror Tram. Tried a few themed food and drinks and bought some HHN merch. We did all of this with the express pass. The only thing we did not do was watch Chainsaw Man at the Dreamworks Theater which was new this year. We skipped The Purge show since we had already seen it a couple years prior.

Some of the food that we tried were Pamela's Smoked Brisket Mac & Cheese and the Brahmin Burger. The brisket mac & cheese was really good. The only downside was we wish they gave bigger portions. The drinks that we tried were Pam's Punch, The Drowned Bride, La Siguanaba Gin Mule and Rad Away. We did not take a picture of the Brahmin burger but it was a burger that came with fries. It was meh and nothing special. Pam’s punch was good, the drowned bride was also good and the gin mule was the worst one we tried. Rad Away we took it to go. We tried it later on and it was really sweet. It is also non-alcoholic. 

 

Next is the HHN merch we picked up. Hello Kitty x Chucky Popcorn Bucket!!! Hello Kitty Chucky figure which is approximately 10 inches tall. It has a plastic head, plush body, magnetic teddy, articulates and poseable. This is new to us this year so not sure if this was released in previous years and they just sold out when we went. We also picked up a Hamekuma keychain (Halloween character from USJ), Universal Bitty Monsters blind box and Halloween Minions Tim bag. They had a lot of cute and cool merch this year. 

Overall, HHN was great this year! We got through all 8 haunted houses, horror tram and the scare zones. Tried some of the special themed food and drinks and picked up some HHN merch. We definitely recommend getting express pass and if possible and early entry for extra time later in the night so you can grab some food and check out merch. The lines this year are long even for express so get there early and go to the popular houses first which is FNAF, Jason Universe and Terrifier.
