Another year of SDCC has come and gone in a blink of an eye. The weather was too humid this year on top of the heat. We got pretty much all the exclusives that we wanted. We did as many offsites that we could this year. The one thing that really stood out was that there were hardly any offsite activations behind the convention center this year besides Adult Swim. FX usually has a big presence but this year their spot was empty. There was an official comic con merch booth in their spot as well spots for the AHS ice cream truck and photo op stand. Hulu's Animayhem moved to the MKL Promenade. The space was smaller than previous years so that meant downsizing. It seemed like there were less offsites or that they condensed them all to the other side of the street of the convention center. Lines were still long for most of them. We say this every year that there is tons of people attending the show and thousands more who don't have badges that wait in line for offsites or pop-ups since comic con badges are not required. Inside the exhibit hall it's still a wall of people walking and trying to get from one booth to the next. It requires a lot of patience and we stress A LOT.

Audible's Level Up Lounge Offsite Activation at SDCC 2026
Hulu Animayhem Offsite Activation at SDCC 2026
Hulu Animayhem was in a different location at SDCC this year. With the restricted space there was less things to do but the line was still really long with people waiting early in the morning just to get in when it opened. This year had a few photo ops and themed food as well as free swag which you got to choose between a Futurama or King of the Hill hat. Everything was free but the wait was long in the heat and humidity.

Green Day Rocks San Diego Comic-Con with Surprise Performance for New Comedy Film “NIMRODS”
Green Day rocked SDCC with a surprise appearance and performance for their new comedy film NIMRODS. Before they hit the stage there was an ice cream truck giving away free ice cream. It was very much needed as the weather in San Diego was a bit brutal this year with it being humid on top of the heat.

LA Comic Con 2025 Recap
LA Comic Con was held September 26-28, 2025 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. We haven't been back in quite a few years. The show really has expanded using different halls for the artist alley, Horror Zone, Akiba Station and the main hall with a variety of exhibitors such as Refreshment Toy, Saturday Morning Cards, Dave & Busters and many more. One bit of advice is that if you need to park your car in one of the convention center parking lots, you really need to arrive early. Finding a parking lot with available space can be very hard. There are third party parking lots but note that they charge more than the convention center parking and even raise the price throughout the morning when they know people are desperate for parking.
This show has really grown over the years and have a lot of different exhibitors compared to other shows such as Door Dash with their Giant Door Dash Bag giving out surprise gifts. You don't know what they will give you. Some people won iPads, Funko pops, external hard drive, gaming controllers, gift cards etc...or you can get a dud like a twinkie which someone did get and was not happy after having to wait in line. The wait in line did take a long time. Maruchan was also exhibiting at LACC and they had free sample flights of their noodles. The line for that was super long too. Yakult and Kopiko were there giving out free samples. If you live in the LA or So Cal area and haven't experienced LACC, you should. If you are local, rideshare would be your best bet to avoid parking headaches. Thank you LACC for inviting us. As of this posting, the dates for next year's LA Comic Con has not been announced yet. Check out our photo coverage above to see what you missed out on this year.

SDCC 2025 Final Recap
|
| Hank Hill walking around outside the King of the Hill Offsite |
SDCC 2025 was just as epic as previous years. This year we focused on a lot of the offsite activation that were held all around the convention center and throughout the Gaslamp / downtown SD area. The exhibition hall is huge every year. Most companies that have exclusives have their own rules/handling of how their exclusives will be sold. All of that is usually announced through their socials or website. The big ones that attracts the biggest fan base with highly sought after exclusives were Mattel, Funko, Pop Mart, 100% Soft, UCC Distributing and more.
One of the most epic things we saw inside the exhibit hall this year was at the LEGO booth! They built SDCC, convention center and booths!!!
Below is our slideshow that we posted on our Instagram account.

Crunchyroll Anime FanFest at SDCC 2025 Recap
We finally got a chance to check out Crunchyroll Anime FanFest! This is an oasis for anyone in San Diego wanting to relax on the Rady Shell lawn and enjoy music, wind, and the sun. This two day music festival is open to the public and anyone can attend, no badge necessary. There was photo ops, food available to purchase, and freebies. Premium Subscribers got access to preferred seating areas. VIPs were treated to a sectioned off tent that had appetizers and drinks and were allowed to sit at any red chair. We stopped by when Noodles was playing their set and it was awesome! Unfortunately this year we were too tired to go see the fireworks, but hopefully next year we will be able to catch them!
