Sega Pop-Up Shop Visit

A few weeks ago we got the change to visit the Sega Pop-Up Shop in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. The Pop-up was open June 27th to July 27th. They had exclusives that you could only get in Japan. When we stopped by a lot of what they had were sold out like the Dreamcast bag that was in the shape of the console. Picked up a Jet Grind Radio 25th Anniversary T-shirt. Overall,it was a cool pop-up with merch that we don't get here in the U.S. Check out some of our pics below of the pop-up.

SEGA at SDCC

Below is Sega's plans for SDCC:
"We’re headed to Comic-con and setting up shop in downtown San Diego to showcase both Aliens: Colonial Marines and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed! Just like last year, all of our games are available off the show floor at our special SEGA Arcade. We’ve got a lot of fun stuff planned for the show, so if you are in or around the San Diego area, come on out and have some fun with us!

The SEGA Arcade is 100% free and does not require a badge to attend – simply drop by anytime and play some games, see the sights, and meet the team. Hope to see you there!
Location: 200 Harbor Drive, Suite 120, San Diego, CA 92101
Hours:
=== Wednesday 7:00pm – 10:00 pm
=== Thursday 1:00pm – 9:00pm
=== Friday 1:00pm – 9:00pm
=== Saturday 1:00pm – 9:00pm
=== Sunday 11:00am – 7:00pm

Haven’t had a chance at Aliens: Colonial Marines yet and want to see how you stack up against the combined strength of a SEGA & Gearbox multiplayer group? We challenge you to come out and show your best in Team Deathmatch! The game is playable all show long at the Arcade, so come through and show us what you’ve got. That’s not all though, we have some very special Aliens related activities at the Arcade that you won’t want to miss out on.

SEGA has partnered with Dark Horse and invite fans of the Aliens franchise to stop by the SEGA Pop-Up Arcade or Booth #2615 on the expo floor to pick up a copy of an exclusive free Aliens: Colonial Marines comic that is only available during San Diego Comic-Con 2012.

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will be playable, marking the first time consumers can get some hands on with the all-new racing title. If you caught our E3 coverage, then you’ll recognize some of our new characters, including Shinobi, Beat of Jet Set Radio, and Vyse of Skies of Arcadia! We’ve also got new tracks to race in, such as Panzer Dragoon and Golden Axe themed environments. It’s loads of fun and we look forward to seeing you!

 After last year’s success of the event during E3, we’re bringing Sonic Boom to San Diego Comic-Con. Sonic Boom will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM at the House of Blues in San Diego, CA. The event will feature Crush 40 with special guests Alex and JP Makhlouf from Cash Cash, Takashi Iizuka from Sonic Team, and Steve Lycett from Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed Developer Sumo Digital. Tickets for Sonic Boom are still available and can be purchased here. More information on Sonic Boom here!"

Sega's New Jet Set Radio Trailer

Sega is re-releasing Jet Set Radio this Summer. Check out the JSR trailer above. If you had a Dreamcast like I did, this was one of the best games ever. Was hoping they would release a new version after they released JSRF for the Xbox. Maybe, they're just testing the waters with a re-release to gauge how many people would be interested before making a new version?
