Toypunks Mascot Figure by Mike Giant to be Released Tomorrow!!!

For those of you following the progress of Toypunk's Mascot Figure by Mike Giant will be released tomorrow at Recklesstoys Noon EST. This bad ass looking figure stands a bit over 8" tall and comes with the removable bat as seen in the pic and the wrists, feet and head are movable. Cost of the figure will be $99 + Shipping.

Here's the details again. Tomorrow, Saturday, February 26th @ 12 NOON EST these will be for sale at Reckless Toys for $99 + shipping.

Android Series 2 Collectible Figures & Rug

Saw these posted on Dyzplastic's Blog. If you don't know what or who is Android. Where the heck have you been? Android is by Google. The figure was designed by Andrew Bell & Dyzplastic. Android Series 1 was an instant hit, selling out in record time. Aftermarket prices skyrocketed. They also released special versions for Halloween, Christmas and Chinese New Year.

New Toy Release Real x Nibbler by The Tarantulas

This is a collaboration between Real x Head, Onell Design and The Tarantulas. The Nibbler stands 4 1/4" tall. Both the unpainted pink and unpainted black will be released tomorrow. Debuting tomorrow, Friday, February 25th at 7PM EST (4PM PST). Pick em up at Fishtank Castle. They will cost £25 each plus shipping. More info can be read here. SOLD OUT!!!

These look pretty cool but I will hold out for a painted version.

I have to say that D-LUX does some amazing work. I really like the Pocket Mummy Gator. It's great to see Leroy C. getting some paint so now we can see more of the details on this figure. REMINDER: Leecifer x Paul Kaiju Custom Show @ Super7 This Saturday!!!

This Saturday, February 26th, 6-9PM is the opening of Super7's latest show featuring Leecifer & Paul Kaiju who will have a slew of customs and their creations for sale. The past few days we have been shown teasers from Paul Kaiju of what he will bringing and what he has been working on for this show. No doubt Leecifer will be bring the heat as well with his custom figures.

If custom figures aren't your thing, Super7 will be debuting Leecifer's Honoo The Flame Monster Family figure and releasing Paul Kaiju's newest Partyball figure also from the Monster Family. Both of these will be debuting and sold at the show on Saturday night first and anything left over including customs that were not sold that night will most likely be up for sale within the next few days after the show on Super7's web store.

REMINDER: Mark Nagata's Alien Argus Custom Group Show This Saturday!!!

Just a friendly reminder that this awesome show curated by Mark Nagata, Fig-Lab and Toy Art Gallery is this Saturday, February 26th 7-11PM. If you can't make it to the Opening Reception on Saturday, the show will be up until March 26, 2011. This is an amazing group of artists. I wish I could be there in person to see all the customs myself. Just looking at the ones shown above and from various artists who have shown theirs, this is one show that you cannot miss.

A Closer Look - Copy Robot x RxH Little Softee Figure

Little Softee is designed by Copy Robot & Real x Head. It's another collaboration with Real x Head. This figure came out a few years ago. This figure is awesome! Most of the releases so far are released at the local shows in Japan like Super Festival or Wonder Festival. If you are lucky enough to find a store in the U.S. that can get any of the show leftovers, it's still not always that easy. Most of the time you just have to be on their website or in their store at the right time. It took me a while to finally luck out and get one.

Little Softee stands about 5" tall. It's a really cute and cool figure overall. Don' t you just love the details on the cone and ice cream dripping down one side of the cone? Enjoy the pics!

I hope to one day fly out to Japan and visit all the Shops and Artists that make these vinyl figures. If not, I hope more artists from Japan will come out to SDCC or other shows out here. Right now, there are just so many cute and cool looking figures coming out from Japan!!!

Artists & Customizers Do You Need Some Paint?

Recently, I have seen many Artists & Customizers using Monster Kolor by Dead Presidents Design. Monster Kolor comes in a vast amount of unique colors such as Moon Dust, Neo Hawaii, C-Thru Transparent colors in red, blue green etc...  They also have a special color every month that is only available during that month. This month's special is called Kissed.

Check out Monster Kolor's website and store. Artist/Customizer D-LUX who uses their paint had a show at Super7 a few months ago which we covered here.

These paints are awesome! I need to learn how to use an airbrush so I can buy some!!!!

Four Horsemen Dark & Light Talisman Scarabus Figures

The Four Horsemen will be releasing their Extremely Limited Dark & Light Talisman Scarabus Figures tonight at their store @ 9PM EST (6PM PST).

Only 100 of each of these will be for sale. These will be $50 Each or if you buy the set it will be $95. The only other way to get these is by attending their "Toypocalypse: A Four Horsemen Retrospective" gallery show, besides the secondary market.

The Dark & Light Talisman Scarabus figures to be sold through Store Horsemen are virtually the same as the figures sold at their current “Toypocalypse: A Four Horsemen Retrospective” gallery show except for one significant difference – the outside of the blister packaging for each figure will feature an attached, individually hand cast and gold painted Scarabus Talisman Disc.

Bwana Spoons Rec Room Killers Workshop @ Switcheroo

 

Bwana Spoons will be having a Killer Workshop @ Switcheroo in Pasadena, CA. It will take place Saturday, March 12 @ 11AM-4PM.
