Pre-order Medicom's Godzilla Vinyl Wars & Spider-Man Sofubi in the September issue of Previews!

Godzilla Vinyl Wars is a collaboration between Japan's classic Sofubi manufacturers and cutting-edge toy maker MEDICOM Toy. Each release in GVW is a reproduction of a classic Toho Sofubi from the '60s through today, released legitimately for Western collectors for the first time ever.

The 1962 KKVG Sofubi was influenced by his appearance in King Kong vs. Godzilla, great for fans who remember the classic film. Also considered by Kajiu fans to be one of the best representations of GIGAN ever, comes the 11” tall GIAGAN Sofubi for western collectors to treasure. Also available and styled after Godzilla's appearance in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla is the 9” tall, newer and truer green Godzilla Vinyl Wars 1974 Godzilla Sofubi.

MEDICOM continues to offer a great line of Godzilla Sofubi to western collectors, helping give this classic monster a new, stream lined look with every piece coming to comic book shops,” said Diamond Purchasing Manager Eric Burkhardt. “What makes these figures a rarity is their limited availability, as only 200 pieces are being created and distributed, in addition to the history that each legendary figure represents and holds for collectors to capture and showcase.”

The Marvel Spider-Man Sofubi (Item Code: JUN148300, SRP: $80, pg 510) is another novelty available for pre-order as it is the debut piece for the Marvel Heroes Sofubi line being introduced to western collectors for the first time. The fan-favorite wall-crawler stands at 9 ¾” tall in heroic pose, sporting his shiny red and blue spider costume. This vintage-looking collectible is limited to 500 pieces in North America, making it a novelty for collectors to pre-order guaranteeing they get it when it ships in January 2015.
