LOS ANGELES, CA (April 1, 2015) -The documentary film Cosplay Dreams 3D, which examines the fascinating and highly visual world of costume play, will
host back-to-back panel discussions, an interactive 3D exhibit, and a
theatrical screening in 3D during the WonderCon convention Friday, April 3 through Sunday, April 5 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
Cosplay is short for "Costume Play",
a growing worldwide phenomenon in which millions of ordinary people
called "Cosplayers" create costumes to emulate and pay homage to their
favorite anime, comic book, video game, TV, film and manga (Japanese
comic book) characters.
The film has begun its festival and theatrical screening circuit, recently winning "Best Documentary" at theLos Angeles 3D Film Festival. The film features inspiring stories, amazing visual effects-driven dream sequences, and an all-star cast of Cosplay celebrities: Cosplay superstar Yaya Han (Heroes of Cosplay, SyFy), Cosplayer to the stars "Fanboy Brandon" Hillock (My Big Fat Geek Wedding, SyFy), singer/songwriter and YouTube sensation Traci Hines, Cosplay diversity activist Ginger Burton, and hundreds of other costume artists. Previous screening events have become a rallying point for the convention community, as past events have inspired hundreds of audience attendees to come to screenings dressed in costume.
