“Oceanus
is really a film about two people in love, set in the middle of the
ocean with the sky literally falling around them,” said Jeffrey Morris,
founder and CEO, FutureDude Entertainment. “Their survival and that of
their underwater world rests on their shoulders,
as they navigate unforeseen twists and turns.”
Oceanus
is set in the year 2029 in a city beneath the sea. The Oceanus Research
facility houses more than
300 scientists and engineers, including biologist Dr. Erin Kendall and
her husband, aquatic engineer Sam Jordan. The couple travel away from
the base to test a breakthrough in interspecies communications when a
cataclysm occurs. What happens next has moviegoers
on the edge of their seats.
Acclaimed star of film, stage and small screen,
Bruce Davison plays Commander Mitch Conrad. Stage and screen actor
Megan Dodds stars as Dr. Kendall, and
Sharif Atkins, of
Guardians of the Galaxy, is Sam Jordan. The distinctive voice of veteran actor
Malcolm McDowell, known in sci-fi circles as Dr. Tolian Soran who killed Captain James T. Kirk in
Star Trek: Generations, is featured as Triton.
Vimeo streaming of part one of
Oceanus is available as of July 6.
Rent it for $1.99 or own it starting at $3.99 for standard format or
$4.99 in high definition. The $14.99 Blu-ray DVD, which features the
film and soundtrack together, is for sale in the booth and on Amazon.
