HIGHLIGHTS FROM 12 DAYS OF SIDESHOW

 

Between December 25 and January 5, Sideshow's annual 12 Days of Sideshow showcase gave us the first look at a wealth of new and upcoming pop culture inspired statues and art from Sideshow and its partners.

Here's a rundown of all the new reveals... 

The first reveal from 12 Days of Sideshow was epic!

This enormous Phoenix and Jean Grey Maquette will make an impressive centerpiece for any X-Men themed collection! 

Inspired by Jean Grey's iconic transformation from Marvel's X-Men comics, this newly revealed statue features two fully sculpted figures in a fiery environment base — Jean Grey stands in the foreground, her mind wracked with psychic influence as Phoenix rises behind her with flaming wings outstretched. Jean Grey is dressed in her classic blue and yellow ‘90s costume while her Phoenix incarnation wears her distinct green and black bodysuit.

Sideshow Introduces the Magnetic Mutant, Magneto!

Sideshow is thrilled to present the Magneto Maquette, using his mastery of magnetic fields to make his way to Marvel collectors everywhere.

 

Measuring over 25” tall, Magneto appears hovering over a base formed from the mangled remains of a Sentinel head.  Scraps of the mutant-killing machine twist and coil under the immense influence of Magneto’s legendary powers. His helmeted portrait exudes determination, with gritted teeth and eyes whitened to show his metal-bending abilities in action.

Gentle Giant's R2-KT Maquette SDCC 2014 Exclusive

Gentle Giant announced their final SDCC 2014 Exclusive. It is R2-KT Maquette from Star Wars The Clone Wars. Limited to 500 pieces and $10 from the purchase of this product will be donated to Make A Wish San Diego.This will cost $80 and is currently sold out of pre-orders if you are PG Member.

"R2-KT was created by Albin Johnson, founder of the 501st Legion, master droid builder Jerry Greene and the R2 Builders Club, for Johnson’s daughter Katie (the ‘KT’ in the droid’s name is a tribute to her). In real life, R2-KT makes appearances at children's hospitals, Star Wars Celebration and charity events in the southeastern United States. In the Star Wars universe, the character had a cameo in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film, and has been made an official part of the universe’s canon."
