Grody Invasion!!!

It's no secret that some of the most unique & creative toys this year comes from Grody Shogun. Grody does a lot of mashups which shows the fun factor with his toys and mashing them up with other artist's toys like Paul Kaiju's Seagool.

The Grody figures have definitely invaded!!!

Releases from the past couple of months.
Grody Shogun x Kaiju Korner Exclusive Monster Karas arrived before Xmas.
These guys arrived from Lulubell a couple days before Xmas.
Didn't open the box from Lulubell until it hit Midnight Christmas Day. Was giddy like a kid and couldn't wait to open the box. I definitely need a bigger shelf!!!

A huge thanks to Lulubell, Amy & Luke (Grody) for making my Christmas extra special with a box full of Grodys! Looking forward to seeing what new craziness Grody will come up with!

Max Toy recently released their Micro Eyezon in unpainted yellow. This little guy stands 2.5" tall. $12ea. Buy yours HERE.

Micro figures are awesome! They have an awesome amount of details for such a tiny figure. One of the best things about micro figures is that they are tiny and can fit just about anywhere or you can stick it in your pocket and take it with you wherever you go.

Seagool! Seagool!! Seagooooooooooool!!!

Grody Shogun Version
CCM
Designer Con Brick by Brick 2
NYCC 2011
Acquired these Seagools in the past couple of months. Missed out on the Anchor Neck Seagool which was released at Designer Con this year as well. So if anyone has a lead on one or changes their mind on it. Let me know!

Seagool was created from the Brilliant Mind of Paul Kaiju. They were first made in resin and are now made in vinyl with the help of Lulubell. Out of all the figures, Seagool is my favorite so far. I say so far because Paul always has something new brewing.

The Grody Shogun version was Grody's take on Paul's Seagool. Missed out on this during the initial release but after patiently waiting, I was able to find one. I didn't include the Monstergool Mashups in this post but they'll be in another for sure!

Next up is the CCM (Cotton Candy Machine) version. During NYCC this year, Lulubell held a special event at CCM where they released a lot of different figures in the CCM colors. Then we have the Designer Con Brick by brick 2 which was 1 of 2 Seagools exclusive to DCON. The other was more limited than this version which is why I was unable to get it. Finally, we have the NYCC version which an awesome friend helped me get.

Looking forward to more Seagools in the New Year!

Chima Group's Latest Arrivals - Amedas, Ten-Gallon & Bolo

Amedas
Ten-Gallon
Bolo
Group Shot
These are my latest incoming toys from Chima Group. The Amedas that you see are the latest versions that were released. The Green with red boots Amedas was just released this past weekend at Treasure Festa in Japan and this little fella decided to hitch a ride with his brothers and friends. (Many Thanks Saito-san!)

I also decided to add Ten-Gallon and Bolo to my collection. There's so many different Ten-Gallon figures to choose from. I chose the all black with silver teeth. There are quite a few other colors available as well. You can pick them up directly from Chima Group as well as a couple of USA retailers such as Lulubell and Rotofugi who also carry a few different colors. Both are awesome shops!

Bolo is the newest figure from Chima Group. I picked up the Red Beret Version. There are currently 2 other colors - Blue or Dark Green.

Both Ten-Gallon & Bolo are amazing in person and of course my absolute favorite is Amedas and so far I have been fortunate to collect all the releases so far.

Chima Group is working hard on a 4th figure which will be out some time next year but I'll have a separate post on that.

If you are interested in Chima Group's figures, you can order from them direct through their website which will have their email address where you can contact them to order. There are U.S. Retailers that also carry limited amounts of Chima Group's figures. Lulubell currently carries their Grody Shogun x Chima Group Amedas Exclusive as well as 3 different Ten-Gallon figures. Rotofugi carries a few different Amedas as well as Ten-Gallon.
