SDCC's Exhibit Floor is huge...and you know how you always seem to miss something. (We know this all too well.). Just by chance while trying to navigate the massive exhibit hall row by row, we happen to come across the Varner Studios Booth. They make prototypes for various companies. The ones above are what we came across first but as we turned the corner to look at the other side of the booth, wow we were in for a treat! There were prototypes from the vintage TMNT line and various other lines like Family Guy, Happy Meal/Kids Meal Toys etc...
After the Jump, there are a lot of pictures. We were geeking out this booth and there were maybe 1 or 2 unreleased vintage TMNT toys.

Gotham at SDCC
Gotham also had a pretty noticable presence at SDCC this year. On the lawn between the Hilton and the Convention Center they set up a zip line where you zip through Gotham City. Very cool way to promote this new show. The lines were long for this too even though you had to have a SDCC badge to participate.
FXX's Every Simpsons Ever at SDCC
FXX had the huge area of the lawn between the Hilton & Convention Center to promote their Every Simpsons Ever Marathon which will start August 21st. They will be playing every single episode and the movie that was ever made. Homer's Dome was still being assembled preview night, Thursday and a little bit on Friday morning.

Godzilla at SDCC
Godzilla was back at SDCC and had a cool display set up behind the convention center. The first few pictures we took at on preview night. What we couldn't see at night was that there was a Fan Art Tribute Wall. Scroll down further and you will see the art work.

Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC
The Assassin's Creed Experience at SDCC was an obstacle course that participants needed to navigate and finish. If you were able to finish you would get a t-shirt. For the obstacle course you needed to channel your inner assassin and do a few parkour obstacles, scale a wall and take the leap of faith.
We didn't participate in this but walked passed it and watched others conquer the obstacle course.

Paul Kaiju's A Fistful of Dominoes
Paul Kaiju is one of the nicest artists around. This year he held his event at Gunnzo in Old Town, San Diego. The trek was a bit farther this year meaning you had to take the trolley or drive there. Free food and drinks were available for those that attended the event. This year, there were plenty of toys to go around so no one would go home empty handed. Anything that was not purchased was for sale through Gunnzo.
The first toys to sell out were Paul's new figures Domino Jack & Mini Goon. There was also a pink Mini Goon that you could get in the blind bag. Unfortunately our pic didn't turn out.
Thanks to Melissa for making these wonderfully delicious rice krispy treats with gummy candy.

Toys & Collectibles at SDCC
Hopefully you like toys & collectibles! We took as many pics as we could given the fact that it was super crowded so at times it is hard to get the right shot and even get into the booth if there is signing because there will be lines around the whole entire booth or area.
Yes, it would be nice if SDCC would let in Press to take photos of the exhibit hall and displays without the general public so apologies for blurry pics or crazy shots. You have to take pictures as quick as possible before someone walks right in front of you while you're taking the pic or their reflection is caught in the display case.
We did the best we could while still trying to enjoy SDCC and covering a lot of the outside events.

SDCC 2014 Recap!
As we look back at SDCC 2014, we notice how much of the outside events are now giving what's inside the convention center a bit of stiffer competition. If you weren't waiting in line inside the convention center for a panel, exclusive or signing then you were waiting in line outside for one of many outside events that took place this year. Most outside events did not require you to have at SDCC badge. If the outside events were this good this year, what can we expect in the years to come?
Let's start off with preview night! This year the weather in San Diego was nice and sunny for most days but was also pretty humid this year. We picked up our passes and made our way to get in line for the exhibit hall.
By the time we got in line there were thousands of people in line already waiting to get in. The line goes to about 8-10 people wide and it probably got close to getting wrapped around the whole top floor of the convention center.
