Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Invade Comic-Con

For the first time in franchise history, Call of Duty will invade Comic-Con International with Black Ops III.

The excitement kicks off with a star-studded panel of in-game talent on Thursday July 9 from 1-2 PM in Room 6BCF. The Director and Lead Writer of Zombies from Black Ops III developer Treyarch, along with surprise guests, will reveal the highly-anticipated Zombies mode, along with other Call of Duty Zombies announcements.

Rock Out With Guitar Hero Live at San Diego Comic Con!



Guitar Hero Live is coming to San Diego Comic Con! Think you’ve got what it takes to battle stage fright and put your shredding skills on display for all to see? Then come to the Xbox Lounge in the Manchester Grand Hyatt during San Diego Comic Con, where Guitar Hero Live will be playable all week. Starting Thursday, July 9th, anyone with an official San Diego Comic Con badge can stop by the Xbox Lounge, try out the all-new 6-button guitar controller and rock out in front of real reactive live action crowds.

 The schedule for the Xbox Lounge is as follows:
 Thursday, July 9th11am – 8pm
Friday, July 10th11am – 8pm
Saturday, July 11th11am – 8pm
Sunday, July 12th11am -5pm

The Xbox Lounge is located in the Manchester Grand Hyatt (1 Market Place) – Manchester Ballroom, Second Floor, Harbor Tower.

Wil Wheaton for Project UROK + Project UROK at SD Comic Con

Founder and CEO Jenny Jaffe will be appearing on a panel called The India Inkblot Test: Why Comics Are Good for Mental Health, and Mental Health is Good for Comics on Saturday at 11:00am.

Nerd Nite at SDCC

National Geographic Channel invites you to Nerd Nite at San Diego's Comic-Con next Friday, July 10th from 7:00 – 10:30 PM at SILO in Makers Quarter (753 15th Street, San Diego, CA).

The event will feature free food, trivia (with amazing prizes!) and incredible presentations including: "The Science of Jurassic World," by paleontologist Trevor Valle; "Shop Class 2.0," by Joan Horvath and Rich "Whosawhatsis" Cameron, co-founders of Maker Technology Consultancy Nonscriptum LLC; and "Dead Life: Making a Living in Taxidermy," by award-winning taxidermist Allis Markham.

DKE Toys will be releasing MannyX of Iconoclast Toys' Bad Acid figures at SDCC 2015. Edition of 20 and will cost $55 each.
"Hand cast and hand painted by MannyX and his new brand Iconoclast Toys. There are lots of variations in the color so we are pretty sure this is a multiple color resin pour. This is a follow up to his Black Bart figure. Bootleg Bart has hundreds and hundreds of posts on IG each with a unique bootleg Bart Simpsons shirt. The card back is based on the original 80s Mattel Simpsons line. Figure is to scale as well at about 3.5 inches."

Comic-Con - Musical Anatomy of a Superhero featuring Ant-Man, Avengers, Mad Max & More

From the ominous horns of Jaws signaling fear, to the inspiring theme for Star Wars, music has always been an important supporting character in movies. For the superhero genre, the music reflects these emotions and more. Leading Hollywood Film & TV composers offer a behind the scenes look at the music of today’s biggest superhero film and TV projects with unreleased film clips and never before heard music.

Now in its third year, the panel has become a Comic-Con favorite that debuts film and TV clips from upcoming projects. Composers discuss collaborating with the directors and the challenges involved in telling a story with music. The panelists emphasize the integral nature that music plays within TV shows and movies. The panel is produced by Costa Communications and sponsored by ASCAP.

ATTICUS ROSS SIGNS ON TO SCORE ROBERT KIRKMAN’S UPCOMING SERIES OUTCAST

Los Angeles, July 1, 2015 – FOX International Studios (FIS) today announced that Atticus Ross, Grammy, Golden Globe and Academy Award-winning composer, producer and electronic musician is on board to score Robert Kirkman’s upcoming exorcism drama, Outcast, produced for Cinemax by FOX International Studios (FIS). This marks Ross’ television series score debut.
Ross’ acclaimed film work includes the score for David Fincher’s The Social Network, which earned him the Oscar and the Golden Globe, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Gone Girl with long-time collaborator Trent Reznor. He also composed the music for Hughes Brothers’ The Book of Eli, Bill Pohlad’s Love & Mercy and Michael Mann’s Blackhat among others. Ross first garnered attention in the mid-1990’s as a programmer for Tim Simeon’s Bomb the Bass, and later for co-producing and programming five Nine Inch Nails albums with Reznor: With Teeth, Year Zero, The Slip, the instrumental Ghosts I-IV and Hesitation Marks.
