KIA ASAMIYA: LEGEND AND COMIC-CON GUESTKIA ASAMIYA is a veteran Japanese manga artist and designer, whose work spans manga, anime storyboards, and illustration, who debuted in 1986. He is best known for his acclaimed Japanese manga and anime properties Silent Möbius and Steam Detectives, and expanded his reach internationally in 1999 with stints on Batman, X-Men, and Star Wars for DC Comics and Marvel Comics. In 2024, Kia Asamiya received the prestigious Japanese Nebula Awards for his contributions to science fiction. San Diego Comic-Con 2025 marks Asamiya-sensei's return to the event after 25 years, as he continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his fusion of visual storytelling and sci-fi imagination. Asamiya-sensei will be the spotlight guest on a feature panel to share with fans his visions and experience in the anime and manga industry for the past 40 years! The panel will be held Thursday July 24, 2025, at 3:30pm to 4:30pm in Room 24 ABC. Comedy Central is bringing together an all-star lineup of animation and comedy legends for a can’t-miss Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. Marking their triumphant return to SDCC after nearly a decade, Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park) will join Mike Judge (Beavis And Butt-Head) and Andy Samberg (Digman!) for the Comedy Central Adult Animation panel on Thursday, July 24 at 6:45 PM in Hall H. Season 27 of South Park premieres Wednesday, July 23 at 10:00 PM ET/PT, followed by the season two premiere of Digman! at 10:30 PM ET/PT on Comedy Central.
Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. today announced its lineup of Gundam-related activities at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), one of the world’s largest pop culture and entertainment conventions. The event will take place in San Diego, USA, from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27, 2025.
