Nickelodeon Announces SDCC 2016 Exclusives & Releases

Nickelodeon just announced their exclusives and releases for SDCC 2016 this year. The first thing to know is that they are launching The Nick Box which is a quarterly subscription box  and debuts at SDCC. The theme for the first box is Nicktoons!

The Nick Box is a curated assortment of exclusive items from popular Nick ‘90s shows including The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rugrats, Hey Arnold! and CatDog.  This initial box includes a 4.5” Reptar Vinyl, a ceramic glazed Stimpy-molded mug, a 9” plush of Spunky from Rocko’s Modern Life and more. AMC Released "Fear the Walking Dead" Key Art for SDCC

AMC just released the "Fear the Walking Dead" Key Art for SDCC. 

The key art, which also serves as the official series poster for the second half of season two, will appear around the fan-based convention from July 21-24. A “Fear the Walking Dead” Comic Con panel with the cast and executive producers will take place on Friday, July 22 at 12:00 p.m. PT in Hall H.  In addition, a “Fear the Walking Dead” yacht, located at Fifth Avenue Pier behind the Convention Center, will be open to attendees for the duration of Comic Con giving fans a chance to experience life aboard the Abigail.

"Fear the Walking Dead" is executive produced by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, David Alpert and showrunner Dave Erickson and stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Cliff Curtis as Travis, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia, Lorenzo James Henrie as Chris and Colman Domingo as Strand.

MTV Fandom Awards Announces Nominees for "Fandom of the Year" & "Ship of the Year"

THIRD ANNUAL “MTV FANDOM AWARDS” ANNOUNCES NOMINEES
FOR “FANDOM OF THE YEAR” AND “SHIP OF THE YEAR”

NEW YORK, NY (July 11, 2016) – MTV today announced the nominees for “Fandom of the Year,” presented by JOLLY RANCHER Candy, which will feature 32 nominees going head-to-head across multiple platforms in a special social tournament spanning movies, TV dramas, TV comedies and, for the first time ever, video games.  MTV also announced nominees for “Ship of the Year,” presented by FDA, celebrating the relationships that fandoms are dying to see.  The awards will be handed out at the third annual “MTV Fandom Awards,” which will take place alongside the “MTV Fandom Fest” at Petco Park on Thursday, July 21, beginning at 6:30 p.m. PT, leading into the 8:00 p.m. PT taping of the awards.  The show will air on Sunday, July 24, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

SIGNING SCHEDULE

All creators signing in our booth offer their autographs for FREE. FREE prints, comics, or posters are provided for most of our signings (while supplies last). You may purchase or bring items to be signed; however, we may restrict the type or number of items to be signed as necessary.

Some signings require a wristband for entry, as noted on the schedule. Drawings for wristbands for these events will begin at show opening the day before and day of each signing. Come to the Dark Horse booth early for the best chance to join these events.

 

Lines may also be closed for some signings due to crowding or time restrictions.

We have two signing stages. One features art by Mike Huddleston and Mike Mignola for Hellboy; the other showcases the Xenoverse with art by Massimo Carnevale for Aliens: Defiance and Dave Palumbo for Prometheus: Life and Death and Predator: Life and Death. The location of each signing is indicated by the following abbreviations:

FX Networks will take center stage at Hilton Bayfront Park during San Diego Comic-Con July 21-24, 2016 with groundbreaking activations and installations of fan-favorite shows Archer, American Horror Story, The Strain, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll. Amazon will host cast and creator panels for the most watched Amazon Original Series, The Man in the High Castle—the second year the series will be at Comic-Con, as well as the popular original kids series and reinvention of the classic Thunderbirds, Thunderbirds Are Go.
