Scooby-Doo x Universal Monsters was really fun. To get to the backlot, we had to board the tram. Once we got off the tram to our destination, they handed us a booklet and pen to help Scooby and the gang solve their mystery. You had to go to different areas to get clues. You could literally spend all night there trying to solve the mystery. They had their themed food located in the backlot which included Scooby Snacks and Shaggy's giant sandwich etc...!!! There were some cool interactions with the Universal Monsters roaming around the backlot and putting on mini shows. Before you leave, you want to watch the last show before boarding the tram back to the upper lot so you can see if you helped Scooby and the gang solve the mystery.
We did everything except the Super Nintendo World Colorful Yoshi because they closed earlier than the rest of the park and we were headed there after we finished Dungeons & Dragons. On that part of the lower lot there was an addition of a walkthrough for Jurassic Park. They had dinosaurs, vehicles from Jurassic Park and Jurassic World. Also had character actors in various spots and interacted with guests.
Back in the upper lot was Harry Potter and the Forbidden Forest: Search for the Hippogriff walkthrough. That had the longest wait time unless you had express pass or vip. We watched the One Piece Grand Pirate Show and the Sailor Moon Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon the Miracle: Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe anime and checked out the Fast and Furious cars that were displayed outside the entrance to the new ride debuting very soon. If FanFest comes back next year, hopefully something will replace Dungeons & Dragons. It felt like it was the same or very similar to last year's version. Other than that, we liked all the new additions this year.
