NBC Announces Heroes Reborn

NBC just announced that Heroes Reborn will be an event miniseries in 2015. The original creator and executive producer Tim Kring will be back in charge of this miniseries.

"Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in."

"With the return of “Heroes Reborn,” NBC will launch a digital series prior to the 2015 premiere that will introduce the characters and new storylines. This leveraging of social media is a way for fans to re-engage with what was one for the true pioneers in multiplatform storytelling."

Funko Announces Hikari Japanese Vinyl Line

Funko announced their brand new line called Hikari which is a collectible line of clear Sofubi (soft vinyl) inspired by Japanese vinyl figures. Each piece will be hand numbered and limited edition. Hikari comes packaged in a special edition clear tube with an on/off LED light so you can keep your figure displayed in it's packaging.

As you can see the first 2 licenses in the Hikari line is Batman and TMNT (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) and will be released in Spring/Summer 2014. More licenses like Star Wars, Marvel, Ghostbusters and more will follow in 2014.

Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker POP! Vinyl & Legacy Action Figures

Funko announced their new licensing agreement with Wizards of the Coast to produce Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker Legacy Collection Action Figures and POP! Vinyl Figures.

The first series of POP! Vinyl figures featuring Jace Beleren, Garruk Wildspeaker, Chandra Nalaar, Liliana Vess, Ajani Goldmane and Nissa Revane will be released in April.
