Hot Toys: Buzz Lightyear

In a surprise announcement, Hot Toys has unveiled an all-new Space Ranger Alpha Buzz Lightyear 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure, with all the attention to detail and precise production that fans have come to expect from their high-end collectibles.

Drawing inspiration from Buzz Lightyear's appearance in the new movie, this meticulously crafted 1/6 scale collectible features a newly developed hand-painted head sculpt equipped with Hot Toys' innovative "rolling eyeballs feature," allowing fans to adjust Buzz's gaze while posing the figure.

The figure includes a stunning recreation of the Space Ranger suit, complete with all of Buzz's badges and insignia. Multiple layers of weathering effects add to the  realism. Accessories include Buzz Lightyear's laser gun, blade, blaster cannon, a pair of handcuffs, and more!

Furthermore, a special deluxe version of the 1/6 scale figure exclusively includes Buzz’s new companion Sox the robotic cat, Sox’s computer, and also the iconic wing pack — with two styles of swap-out metallic wings!

Great Twins launches Merlion Collectible Figure on Kickstarter

Great Twins has 12 days left on Kickstarter as of this posting to get enough funding for their Merlion Collectible Mini Figure Blind Box Series 1. Each figure stands 2-inches tall. Mondo at SDCC

Mondo not only brought their cool poster prints to SDCC this year but they were also showing off prototypes of their new toys. Yes, Mondo is expanding into toys. At SDCC, we were able to see the TMNT Mouser 2-Pack, The First Turtle, Lil Mikey, the Iron Giant Collectible Figure and Bolt prop replica along with Alfred Hitchcock. Check out all the pics below.

Play Imaginative's Iron Man 3 Super Alloy Collectible Figures

Play Imaginative reveals their Iron Man 3 Super Alloy Collectible Figures in 1/4th & 1/12th Scale.

"A 1/4 scale figure stands at a whopping 18 inches (approx. 46cm) tall, so the figurine size itself is very impressive. We have over a dozen Iron Man figures released by Play Imaginative this year alone, and this will be the first time anyone will get to view these prototypes first hand," Ms Denise Tan, Marketing Director at Play Imaginative commented.

The first 1/4 scale figure released will be the Super Alloy Iron Man Mark XLII, slated for release in August 2013. Play Imaginative will be accepting pre-orders for the 1/4 Scale Super Alloy Iron Man Mark XLII - Exclusive Edition at the Super Alloy Iron Man: Preview Showcase.

The 1/4 and 1/12 scale Iron Man figures are available worldwide, excluding China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, while the 1/6 scale Iron Man figures are available to Singapore only."

The Super Alloy Collectible Figure is a premium line of quality collector figures ranging from 1/12 to 1/4 scale, made of 45-90% die-cast metal alloy, and featuring up to 60 points of articulation.

QMx Trekkies (Star Trek) Q-Pop Collectible Figures

QMx announced their Trekkies (Star Trek) Q-Pop Collectible Figure. They will be offering Pre-orders for these soon.

The 3 that will be offered first is from Star Trek: The Original Series featuring Kirk, Spock & Uhura. They are 4.5" tall and made of high-quality PVC. Retails for $19.99 each.

What are Q-Pops? Q is for "quote" -- because just about everyone has a favorite saying for each character. Pop refers to the word bubble that "pops up" over each figure, where you can write witticisms using the matching Trekkies marker that comes with each figure. Fun!
Trekkies Q-Pop Figures will be available in late Q2 2013 from QMx and QMx-authorized comic, collectibles and specialty stores. They will also be available direct at www.qmxonline.com.

Also in the future, keep an eye out for Trekkies Q-Pops of Dr. Leonard McCoy (Bones), Chief Engineer Montgomery Scott (Scotty) and other Star Trek fan favorites.

Multiverse Studio Releases Street Fighter Bobble Budds

Multiverse Studio just released their Street Fighter Bobble Budds Collectible Figures. They are part figure and part super deformed bobble head. They stand 3.5" tall. It has a bobble lock mechanism so the head will stop moving. This 1st wave consists of Ryu, Chun-Li, Sagat & Blanka. You can purchase them at Sota Toys, Capcom etc...
