Varèse Sarabande Records Releases 2-LP Set of The Iron Giant (Deluxe Edition) Original Motion Picture Score by Michael Kamen

Varèse Sarabande Records is excited to announce the LP release of The Iron Giant (Deluxe Edition) Original Motion Picture Score with music by Michael Kamen. Varèse Sarabande has previously released Kamen’s The Iron Giant score as a 49-minute program single LP. The 2-LP Deluxe Edition is now available for pre-order at all retailers, with a green vinyl version exclusive to VareseSarabande.com and Intl.VareseSarabande.com. The album will release August 5.

Mondo announced that the Iron Giant Tiki Mugs from the Mondo Tee-kis line will go on sale tomorrow, January 30th at 12PM (CT) HERE.

"The IRON GIANT Tiki Mug will have three different glazeways available. The Grey version is our general release, along with two limited edition Mondo Website Exclusives — a Bone variant that features a wiped black glaze over a natural ceramic finish, and a super-limited Ghost variant that features a wiped dark blue glaze over a white ceramic finish."

Mondo is now taking pre-orders for the Iron Giant Deluxe 16" Figure. You can pre-order this now HERE for $300.

The Iron Giant Deluxe Figure is the most highly detailed Iron Giant collectible to date! Created using the actual digital files used in the film, the figure features over 30 points of articulation, two interchangeable heads with a light up feature, magnetic "S" that can be detached from its sign and attached to his chest, switch-out "War Arm," Hogarth mini-figure, and a girder to munch on! In addition to this, the figure also includes a sound feature, with Iron Giant quotes from the film!

Mondo not only brought their cool poster prints to SDCC this year but they were also showing off prototypes of their new toys. Yes, Mondo is expanding into toys. At SDCC, we were able to see the TMNT Mouser 2-Pack, The First Turtle, Lil Mikey, the Iron Giant Collectible Figure and Bolt prop replica along with Alfred Hitchcock. Check out all the pics below.

Mondo's Very First Toys

 

Austin, TX - Monday, July 21, 2014 - Mondo is doing toys! The launch of figures for The Iron Giant, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Alfred Hitchcock are Mondo's first foray into toy collectibles, with the subjects and diversity of design reflecting Mondo's unique passions. The initial offerings include replicas as well as toys from artist-based designs, which can be previewed at San Diego Comic-Con in Mondo's booth (#835).

Toys join Mondo's growing list of pop culture passions in posters, vinyl, gallery events, VHS and apparel. "I am so pumped to announce toys! We've been working on this in secrecy for a year and now it's time to let you guys know about it. We'll be focusing on existing properties that we love as well as working with artists to bring their own creations to life. This is a new area for us, but I resist the term 'expansion' since the goal for Mondo has always been to be a place where artists and designers can work to have their visions realized, whether that's through posters, gallery shows, vinyl, apparel or now toys," said Mondo CEO Justin Ishmael.
