Mondo Announces SDCC Exclusives Across DC, Marvel, Godzilla and More

Mondo has just revealed part of their lineup of show exclusives featuring stunning new collectibles and posters from beloved franchises including DC, Marvel, Godzilla, and more.

Each drop is designed with the signature artistry and craftsmanship Mondo is known for, and will be available exclusively at the Mondo booth #5045 throughout the show or at MondoShop.com.

In addition to exclusive reveals, the team will also be hosting a Mondo Toy Talk Live panel on Thursday, July 24 at 2 PM PT in Room 7AB, where attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at upcoming releases and hear directly from the creatives behind the brand.

Horror, Inc. Announces Jason Universe SDCC Panel and Giveaways

Horror, Inc. is celebrating the 45th anniversary of Friday the 13th at San Diego Comic-Con this year with a Friday evening panel packed with exclusive first looks, multiple standout giveaways, and never before heard insights from the original members of the family that started it all.

In addition to some of the untold history behind the first films and early years of the family legacy, the panel will preview what's to come in the new era of Jason Universe, including a first look at the upcoming Sweet Revenge vignette helmed by writer/director Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn; December's Silent Night, Deadly Night), and a panel-exclusive message from the set of Crystal Lake, the upcoming TV series from A24 and Peacock. In addition to Nelson, panelists include Horror, Inc. President Robert Barsamian, VP Robbie Barsamian, and CMO Sheri Conn, as well as Atomic Monster EVP of Film Judson Scott (M3GAN, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It).

Funkoville at SDCC 2023 & Exclusives

Funko Brings the Fun Through All-New ‘Shop’ Experiences and Con Exclusives Across Funko, Funko Games, Loungefly, Mondo and More!!! Funkoville (Booth 5341) will be available for all registered SDCC attendees from July 19 through July 23.

Fans will be able to journey through the streets of “Funkoville” to discover new interactive experiences, brand storefronts and more in the “funnest city in the USA!” Fan-favorite shops,including a donut shop, bowling alley, Loungefly boutique and Mondo gas station will welcome fans and serve as the go-to destination for new and exclusive pop culture collectibles. Funko will also offer fans the coolest Con exclusives from beloved lines on-site and via Funko.com, FunkoGames.com, Loungefly.com, and Mondoshop.com.

A new addition to Funkoville, the Blockbuster Rewind video store, allows fans to time travel to the ‘90s and relive the nostalgic experience of visiting their neighborhood’s local video store as they browse and purchase the company’s new, innovative collectibles based on iconic films. The throwback experience showcases the first collection of the new VHS-themed collectibles in collaboration with Blockbuster.

SDCC 2022 Recap

Super late post but a lot of our pictures can be found on instagram. We will have a link at the end of this post so you can view our pictures from SDCC 2022. 

Recap- 2022 was the first year back in full force since the pandemic. What was different this year was that we had to get a wristband that showed we were vaccinated or had a negative covid test prior to attending. We had to stand in a line to show proof to get the wristband in order to get inside the convention center. For those of us that were there for 4+ days had to wear the wristband, the wristband took a beating lol. You probably could get a new one but why waste more time in another line when there was more important things to do. Everyone was required to mask up which was good because it was just as crowded inside the exhibit hall pre-pandemic.

Exclusives? Of course there were exclusives. A lot of companies like Neca and Mattel had pre-orders to have them shipped after the show. Others, you had to enter a lotto via the comic-con portal to get a chance to get a time slot in order to purchase exclusives. Towards the later part of the day when all the groups that got their chance to purchase exclusives, anyone could get in line to buy what was left that day such as Funko, Mondo etc... Hasbro had their exclusives released differently this year where you had to go to their booth to get a QR Code to be able to purchase their exclusives. Those were gone in a flash once the exhibit hall doors opened. 

 

Noticeably absent from SDCC this year was the massive WB Booth. Some booths that were usually in their same spots year after year moved to different parts of the floor. Funko had a huge presence and turned their huge space into Funkoville. Funko consisted of Loungefly and Mondo which they acquired a few months before SDCC. They also had huge POP! Statues of Squid Games characters.

Mondo Announces Disney Licensing Partnership

MONDO TO BRING DISNEY MAGIC TO APPAREL, COLLECTIBLES,

GAMES AND MORE IN 2019 AND BEYOND

Austin, TX – February 2019 – Mondo is thrilled to announce their official license from Disney, with plans to create new products across apparel, collectibles, games, and more. To kick things off, Mondo is excited to unveil their first collectible pins for Mickey Mouse as well as new tiki mugs featuring Sorcerer Mickey from Disney’s Fantasia and Ducktails’ Scrooge McDuck.

IRON GIANT Tiki Mugs from Mondo

Mondo announced that the Iron Giant Tiki Mugs from the Mondo Tee-kis line will go on sale tomorrow, January 30th at 12PM (CT) HERE.

"The IRON GIANT Tiki Mug will have three different glazeways available. The Grey version is our general release, along with two limited edition Mondo Website Exclusives — a Bone variant that features a wiped black glaze over a natural ceramic finish, and a super-limited Ghost variant that features a wiped dark blue glaze over a white ceramic finish."
