WHAT:           Join DC at Comic-Con 2025, where DC begins a decade-long celebration of comics, culminating in 100 years of publishing the World’s Greatest DC Super Heroes!

 

In 2025, DC enters the final decade of its first 100 years. With reverence for the past and an embrace of the future, DC plans to celebrate every era of its storied history annually in 10-year increments, starting at the beginning: 1935-1945. The 2025 DC Booth will feature art and experiences from this first decade of publication, where it all started. From Golden Age beginners to iconic legacies this nascent age was a time of unprecedented creation and saw the birth of not only DC, but of the comic book art form with DC’s New Fun #1, DC Super Heroes, and the DC Trinity: Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

WHAT:           Stop by the DC newsstand for a free 1940s-style Daily Planet newspaper, complete with classic DC Comics ads, pulled direct from DC’s comic book archives, that once promoted the heroes and adventures of their time! SDCC’s Daily Planet exclusive also delivers first looks at some of DC’s most anticipated titles releasing this year, as well as DC’s panel schedule and events offered during Comic-Con 2025.

Five Points Festival Kaiju Dunny Series Release Party & O-MIKU Paint Party

Five Points Festival is hosting 2 pop-up events later this coming week. The first on is this Friday, February 15th which is the Kaiju Dunny Battle Release party.  There will be 4 artists in attendance which is James Groman, Jeff Lamm, Rampage Toys & Bwana Spoons. It's NYC so you never know who else will stop by. The pop-up starts at 6PM. Free entry but you can RSVP HERE.

Factory Entertainment sixth SDCC 2018 exclusive is the Breaking Bad Pawzplay. Pawzplay is cute kittens or puppies cosplaying as their favorite pop culture character.

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2018 seemed to be smaller than last year. There was no outside events with the food trucks and dog cosplay contest like last year. The weather had been pretty rainy up until Saturday Morning of the SVCC when it finally started to dry out.

FAMOUS MONSTERS has been the leading authority on all things horror, sci-fi, and fantasy related for 59 years and now are bringing decades of horror, sci-fi, fandom to San Jose Convention Center. 

The event will feature horror stars from films such as Hellraiser, Gremlins, and Re-Animator, as well as casts of DAWN OF THE DEAD and the other Living Dead movies to celebrate the legendary George A. Romero. 

Also recently added was a few of the original child actors from the original movie IT.

The Nick Box "Nicktoons Rewind" Unboxing

 Here's the next The Nick Box which is themed "Nicktoons Rewind" and features exclusive items from The Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, Ahhh! Real Monsters, Rocko's Modern Life and more... First let's check out the huge box that it comes. As you can see from the first picture the box is decorated to look like the old Nickelodeon 90's VHS Tapes (yes kids, these were before DVDs and Blu-Ray were available). Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017 Recap

Silicon Valley Comic Con 2017 was bigger and better this year! The show expanded into other buildings and areas around the San Jose Convention Center on April 21-23. SVCC is now the largest Comic-Con show in Northern California. What makes SVCC different than other shows is that they merge Technology & Science with Pop Culture. So, even though you're enjoying coplayers, picking up that collectible etc... you can also go there to learn. This is a great show for families. This year they had a Science Fair, a Kids STEAM Lab and NASA had a huge presence inside the exhibit hall with massive planets hanging over their booth and even get your picture taken inside an astronaut's spacesuit.

Silicon Valley Comic Con This Weekend!

Silicon Valley Comic Con is back this weekend, April 21-23 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA.

Show hours are:
Friday - 5pm - 9pm
Saturday - 10am - 7pm
Sunday - 10am - 5pm

This year the event has expanded to outdoor venues where there will be an Outdoor Festival that will host the Dog Cosplay Contest, Car Cosplay and more entertainment. There are a lot of exciting events that will take place this weekend! Go HERE to learn more.
