Inside LEGO KidsFest 2013 - San Jose, CA

LEGO KidsFest 2013 was held in San Jose, CA (Bay Area) this past Labor Day Weekend. We were lucky to be able to attend the event on Friday of their 3-day show. The show was completely SOLD OUT.

We arrive a bit after the show started & picked up our Media Passes. All the kids/parents we saw were very excited and couldn't wait to get inside to see what this event was all about.  As you enter, you are handed an Official Show Program Guide and then you are greeted with the Welcome to LEGO KidsFest Sign that you see below.

Super7 x Funko Alien ReAction Figures!!!

WHOA!!!!! Super7 just announced that they have partnered with Funko to produce the Alien ReAction figures with them. That means the overall cost per figure will be cheaper going to $14.95 per figure instead of $19.95 which was the original price. The best part is that if you already Pre-ordered with Super7, you will get an additional 6th Mystery figure.

So the set will now cost $75 for those who have not pre-ordered. It also means you will not be getting the 6th Mystery figure.

"Funko™ and Super7™ are excited to announce a new strategic partnership to debut and extend the ReAction Figure™ 3 3/4″ line..

One of the most unique and highly anticipated toys of San Diego Comic-Con 2013 was the pre-order and launch of Super7′s™ ReAction Figures™ Alien™ line. From the “Lost Prototype” 2-pack and Early Bird Kit to the the full reveal of the final Alien™ ReAction figures™ , the collector community was in a frenzied state over this new “retro style” look of toys within the action figure community. At the same time, Funko’s™ continued growth and expanding product line made it’s San Diego Comic-Con booth one of the single most travelled spots of the entire convention. After years of sharing the same aisle together, Super7™ and Funko™ saw an incredible opportunity to leverage each other’s unique business insights into a more strategic partnership. Beginning with the launch of the Highly anticipated Alien™ ReAction Figures™ and then several licenses to be announced soon, both companies look to establish a firm collaborative footprint in the market with the ReAction Figures ™ line. 

Our original SRP was $19.95, and the 5 figure set was $100. Funko will be able to produce in much larger quantities and wider distribution, and has a $14.95 SRP, which is $75 for the set. We are aware of the discrepancy in price with the new agreement, so there is a additional, secret figure that will be included in the Super7 pre-orders that will be available only for those who pre-ordered sets of Alien from us, and will not be available anywhere else. (And preorders are long since closed.) We think it will be a nice thank you to everyone who believed in this project and pre-ordered ahead of time, being part of the excitement of the release of this long-awaited line of figures.

Despicable Me 2 3-D Puzzle Erasers

A pretty cool find. These are Despicable Me 2 Puzzle Eraseez or 3D  Pull Apart Erasers. There are 12 to collect. They are blind packaged. These are made by Bullsitoy (Bulls i toy). These have really small pieces so be very careful around young children.

Many Eyes Cat

Received these not too long ago from Refreshment. These are Refreshment's Many Eyes Cat Cupcakes. These are about 3.25" tall. The clear ones both have colorful plastic fillers inside. These were actually bigger than expected.

Funko Announces Regular Show & Adventure Time Series 2 POP!s

Funko Announced the Regular Show POP! featuring Mordecai, Rigby, Benson, Skips & Muscle Man. These are scheduled to be released September 26th.

Also announced was Adventure Time Series 2 POP! featuring Fionna, Cake, Princess Bubblegum, BMO, Gunter & Lemongrab. These are scheduled to be released September 28th.

Pico Pico Biriken Kun Finger Puppet

These 2 arrived not too long ago. These are Biriken Kun Finger Puppets by Pico Pico. Unpainted Flesh and the painted one was done by Grody Shogun for Super Festival. Rainbow sprays over flesh vinyl. These are about 2.25" tall.

Lulubell x Paul Kaiju recently released an unpainted black sparkle Seagool. Love the Seagools! It was a surprise drop too. If you didn't get one yet they're still available at Lulubell.
