Chima Group's New Sofubi

Check out Chima Group's test shots of their new sofubi figures. The bigger one is called Parabola and wears an Elizabeth Collar (you know the ones that dogs & cats have to wear). The second one is a bird which doesn't have a name just yet. The bird is about the same size as Gnocchi The first painted release of these will be at Design Festa on May 18th.

Paul Kaiju's "Rootbeer" Unchiman

Paul Kaiju released the "Rootbeer" Unchiman on Sunday 4/6 in his store. As usual, these were gone in a couple of seconds. This is an unpainted transparent rootbeer brown. It stands 8 1/2" tall. $90 + S&H.

Prodigy Launches on Kickstarter

We posted a preview of Prodigy at the end of March before they launched their Kickstarter Campaign. Their Kickstarter campaign has been up and running for the past 4 days and have surpassed their target goal of $100,000. There's lots of information on their Kickstarter page HERE.

World Premiere of "Son of Batman" at Wondercon

If you're going to be attending Wondercon in a couple of weeks, you'll be able to watch the World Premiere of "Son of Batman" on Friday, April 18th at 6PM in the Arena.

The premiere will be followed by a panel discussion amongst voice cast and filmmakers, including Jason O'Mara (Terra Nova, The Good Wife) and Sean Maher (Firefly, Serenity), the voices of Batman and Nightwing, respectively. More panelists to be announced.

If you are unable to attend, "Son of Batman" will be released on DVD/Blu-ray on May 6th.

Funko Guardians of the Galaxy POP! Vinyl Figures & Wacky Wobblers

Funko will be releasing Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy in POP! Vinyl and as Wacky Wobblers. These are scheduled to be released in June before the movie hits theaters August 1st.

MVH "Midnight Hunter" Berserker First Release

MVH just held a lottery to purchase the "Midnight Hunter" Berserker. This is the First Release of the Berserker. There is also a "chase" colorway, few one-offs and reconfigured test paints. Berserker stands 13.5" tall and this is priced at $185 + shipping. All the winners were notified today. Definitely a very nice piece and fits in well with all of MVH's other figures.

Super7 Crystal Mecha Destruction of Earth Release

Super7 will be releasing the Crystal Mecha "Destruction of Earth" this Thursday, April 3rd at Noon Pacific HERE for $95 each.

"This Crystal-Mecha is cast in opaque grey glitter vinyl with metallic green, gun-metal black and light blue sprays, and the head is translucent vinyl with metallic silver and blue."

This was something different that we saw at Macworld/iWorld last week. Antec Mobile Products revealed a new product called the GLYDR. They only had a limited amount with them at the show and most were gone by the end of the first day of the show.

What is GLYDR? Well it's a Professional Screen Installer for your iPhone 4/4s & 5/5s. Want to see a demo? Well, we were lucky to capture the demo on video. The demo was on a iPhone 5c.

Jesse Narens' Stegoforest Vinyl Figure

Jesse Narens' First Stegoforest Vinyl Release is available now to purchase HERE. $80 for the painted and $75 for unpainted. Stegoforest is made in Japanese Vinyl and is 7" long and 4" tall. Articulation in the head and front left foot. The Acorn Warrior Mini is 2" long. These will begin to ship at the end of April.

Meteoratoyz's Resin Figures & Keychains

We've been following METEORATOYZ on twitter for a while now and have been enjoying their resin figures that they created. They recently just released keychains. Thanks to Takeo Tsuhara of METEORATOYZ for sending us more information on their toys and keychains.

Takeo started sculpting toys in 2011. These are all hand made in resin and hand painted by Takeo. The size of the figures range from 4" to 6".

"Idol Worship" at Toy Art Gallery This Saturday

"Idol Worship" Opening Reception is this Saturday, April 5th (7pm- 10pm) at Toy Art Gallery . Idol Worship features the works of Brian Flynn, Tim Clarke, Yakimon, Grizlli Atom, Shirahama/Yatsuashi and Frenzy Bros. If you can't make it to the opening reception, the show runs until April 26th.
