Gentle Giant's R2-KT Maquette SDCC 2014 Exclusive

Gentle Giant announced their final SDCC 2014 Exclusive. It is R2-KT Maquette from Star Wars The Clone Wars. Limited to 500 pieces and $10 from the purchase of this product will be donated to Make A Wish San Diego.This will cost $80 and is currently sold out of pre-orders if you are PG Member.

"R2-KT was created by Albin Johnson, founder of the 501st Legion, master droid builder Jerry Greene and the R2 Builders Club, for Johnson’s daughter Katie (the ‘KT’ in the droid’s name is a tribute to her). In real life, R2-KT makes appearances at children's hospitals, Star Wars Celebration and charity events in the southeastern United States. In the Star Wars universe, the character had a cameo in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film, and has been made an official part of the universe’s canon."

GKIDS and Cartoon Saloon began their relationship with the North American release of The Secret of Kells in 2010, which resulted in the Irish animation studio’s first Academy Award® nomination. Cartoon Saloon’s second feature film, Song of the Sea, will be released theatrically in North America by GKIDS later this year.

Appleseed Alpha will be released on Blu-ray, DVD & Digital on July 22nd. You can get it early on digital on July 15th. There is an Appleseed Alpha Screening with Director Shinji Aramaki during SDCC on Friday, July 25th 7:30-9PM. Tickets are pretty much all gone but you could be added to the waiting list HERE.
