WooHoo! The Kickstarter Superplastic's Janky figures arrived in time for Christmas. Most people who backed the Kicksterter for Superplastic received their figures by Christmas. We got 4 Series 1 Blind Boxes and 1 each of Janky the First and Janky the Second. Also got a pair of bunny slippers in their own box. Ok, let's check them out!

Superplastic's JANKY Art Toys Kickstarter is LIVE!

Superplastic just launched their JANKY Limited Edition Art Toys on Kickstarter. Superplastic is a new company founded by Paul Budnitz (founder of Kidrobot) and artist Huck Gee. They have already surpassed their goal. There are many artists who have contributed to the first series. Lots of different pledge rewards as well as add-ons. They have blind box figures which stand about 3" tall, an 8" SuperJanky and a 9" Maximillian Ca$h vinyl figure. Also if you have the space and money, you can also get a 4-Foot Tall JANKY. GO HERE and check out all the rewards as well as the designs from many artists.

Huck Gee's Skullhead Blanks at Designer Con

If you're going to Designer Con this weekend make sure to stop buy Mana Studios Booth #401 from Noon to 1PM on both days for Huck Gee's signing. He will have a limited amount of his Skullhead Blank figures in GID, Flat Black and Gloss Red.

BattleTails Now Available on iOS

BattleTails is now available on iOS HERE. This will be available on Android soon. We were lucky enough to be a part of the beta testing for this game. For those that know the art of Huck Gee or collect his designer and custom toys know that he's been working on this game for quite a while. You can easily tell these are his characters and great story line as well.

There was no technical problems that we encountered playing the game. The only problem was trying to defeat the bad guys lol. It takes some time with practicing to time your attacks right and using the right type of army to defeat the enemy. It's Fun and It's Free so go try it out for yourself!

The Switcheroo Institute for Lower Learning Presents: Toy Customizing Workshop with Huck Gee and Carlos East (The Beast Brothers) at Hope Gallery Tattoo in New Haven CT, Sunday, August 28th at 1PM.

"Learn how to customize vinyl toys with the help of two of the best artists in the business as they team up and work with fans during this workshop at Hope Gallery in New Haven, CT.

The workshop will feature Huck Gee, one of the most popular toy customizers in the World, known for taking his unique Asian Pop style to 3D form; and Carlos East, one of the members of the Beast Brothers who is known for his highly elaborate customs that take detailing to the next level.

This unique and hand-on Workshop will be hosted by Nichole “Baroness” East, some of the topics that will be discussed will be History of Custom Toys, Character Design, Material Application, Priming and Finishing Techniques, Application Demonstrations, and of course presentations by both artists followed by a Q&A session.

The workshop will include an 8” Munny for you to customize along with all of the materials you will need to create an amazing custom. (Paint, Pens, Fabric, Flock, etc) At the end of the workshop you will take home a unique and special custom toy that you designed with the help of two amazing artists. And one very special participate will win a custom by The Beast Brothers at the end of the workshop!"
