MATTEL RETURNS TO SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON 2023


Mattel, Inc. announced today its return to San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) from July 19 to July 23! The brand’s presence at the epicenter of pop culture will include panels, special guest appearances, product showcases and more at Booths #3029 and #2945. In celebration of fan-favorite properties, activities will spotlight Masters of the Universe, Hot Wheels, Monster High, WWE, , Jurassic Park and more, bringing exclusive experiences directly to fans. 


Kicking off the SDCC celebration on July 10, Mattel Creations will offer special edition drops during their celebrated “12 Days of Fandom” event. The fan-first celebration of all things Mattel will unveil the latest collectibles from a variety of iconic properties. From now until July 16, badged SDCC participants will be able to apply for access to the official Comic-Con 2023 Exclusives Portal to gain access to products at the show as well as the below fan experiences. Fans can stay up to date on all things 12 Days of Fandom at Mattel Creations!

The Mattel MOTU product and packaging team will reveal an exclusive look into the creative process behind the latest releases and a sneak peek of what's to come in 2024 and beyond. Even better, the first 250 attendees will receive an exclusive “Moaty”lapel pin. By the Power of Grayskull!

MATTEL at SDCC 2022

Mattel announces their plans for SDCC 2022. Mattel always has a huge presence at SDCC. It's been a long 2 years. First up they will open up their vault for "12 Days of Fandom" offering fans exclusive, must have collections from fan-favorite properties leading up to SDCC. Set your calendars for July 11th.

Mattel announced yet another Monster High Exclusive which is from the Monster High Vinyl Figure Line. The SDCC 2015 exclusive is Nefera de Nile. If you are attending SDCC, here's how you can order to save you time from standing in line.

Mattel officially announced today their Monster High Villain 2-Pack (Valentine & Whisp) SDCC 2015 Exclusive Doll Set. Price TBA. More SDCC 2015 exclusives are still yet to be revealed.

Mattel Reveals 3 SDCC 2014 Exclusives

Mattel has revealed 3 of their SDCC 2014 Exclusive so far. The first one they announced was Masters of the Universe Classics Hordak with Imp which will cost $30. You can only get Imp if you pre-order to pick up at SDCC or purchase at their booth at SDCC. You will not be able to get Imp even if you buy Hordak during their after SDCC sale. You have to attend SDCC in order to get Imp.

The next exclusive announced is DCU Classics Doomsday which stands over 9" tall and has 16 points of articulation. Doomsday comes in a custom window box that pays homage to the cover of Superman: The Man of Steel #18, the issue where he made his first full appearance. Doomsday will cost $35.

The 3rd exclusive announced is Monster High's Manny Taur & Iris Clops 2-pack for $40.

If you are attending SDCC, you'll be able to pre-order these Mattel Exclusive on June 24th. Mattel will be announcing more of their exclusive in the coming weeks. Stay Tuned!

Mattel's SDCC 2013 Exclusives Announced

Mattel's Mattycollector.com announced most of their SDCC 2013 Exclusives last week and threw a teaser for another one today.
Here's a quick run down of Mattel's Exclusives shown above:

  • Hot Wheels® Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider
  • DC Man of Steel™ Movie Masters® Superman™ vs. General Zod Movie Pack
  • Hot Wheels® BG Mark 2 Viper Hero ship
  • DCU Club Infinite Earths “Shazam!” New 52
  • Hot Wheels® Atari Beach Bomb™ Pickup
  • BATMAN Classic TV Series BatmanBatusi Batman
  • Catwoman Barbie® Doll
  • Hot Wheels® A-Team Custom GMC Panel Van
  • Masters of the Universe® Classics Mini He-Man® & Skeletor® Figures
Prices for these have not been listed yet but some have said that the MOTU Classics Rokkon & Stonedar will cost $60. 

Mattel also announced that they will be selling the left over Back To The Future Hover Boards as one of their SDCC exclusives which seems a bit odd since these have already been released. Ah well, you never know maybe seeing this in person will make people feel the urge to buy it.

A lot of Monster High fans were a bit displeased last week when there was no mention of a Monster High Doll exclusive. Monster High fans, Mattel just released this teaser image of this years' exclusive for SDCC. More info TBA.

In addition to what was revealed on G4's Attack Of The Show! Mattel has posted up more exclusives and they hinted that more will be revealed as it gets closer.
